I believe that's how it shakes out as well but I don't think that Iowa job is real attractive.

Their collective is a mess and they're dedicating WAY too much money to women's basketball there.

I could see Colorado opening and that job probably looks at those two guys as well.

Boulder is absolutely gorgeous.

I don't know if that's the power job I'd jump on if I were a coach, but there are far, far worse places to live.

The part most applicable to this discussion is probably the latter 10 minutes or so.

That was the most captivating interview with an athletics administrator I’ve heard. Leonard eliminated himself from ever getting a P4 AD job with his comments, but his authenticity was so compelling to listen to.

Utter bullshit. Have some self respect.

McCollum, all the credit in the world to him, knew exactly what he was doing. He knew he had a core of older guys that could compete right away and found the right job where the administration is all in.

Iowa and Minnesota are both going to be open, it'll be interesting to see what his preference is. There are real NIL questions at Iowa and we know what Minnesota looks like.

So in your mind McCollum is leaving Drake after one season. I don't see it.

I've been out drinking but I'm supremely confident drake will get an at large if they need it. To hammer the point many have already made, the system is very biased for power conference schools but the committee is not. They just apply those bs rules as they are intended to be applied. I think drake can survive another loss so long as it's a q2 or borderline q2 loss. Was hoping the birds would been that L. Anyway we will see but so long as drake keeps Winning, bringing it home in St louis is not mandatory.

FWIW Bracket Matrix currently has Drake as the AQ, but otherwise would be the last team in the tournament behind every other at large team.

Drake has better nonconference wins. That will matter.

I hope so. Sure seeing a lot of pundits still saying that the super fair and ever-reasonable committee will not be satisfied that Drake, unbeaten in non-conference play and seemingly headed toward 17-3 in a top 10 league, has done enough, and apparently must win the automatic bid or lose its spot to a below-.500 SEC team.

1) Drake didn’t lose a Q4 home game.
2) Drake didn’t walk out of non-conference with 0 Q1/Q2 wins. They walked out with at least 1 Q1 win and possibly a 2nd.
3) There won’t be a record-setting number of bid thieves this year (which is what knocked Indiana St out).

So many differences from last year to this year.
