If Drake plays like they played in OT at Arch Madness, they'll have no problem making it to Sunday of Arch Madness and after a challenging game they'll be Arch Madness champions without having to sweat out the at-large question.

If Drake plays like they played the first 40 minutes today, in two weeks Drake will be scouting their NIT opponent.

Bradley jumps to 79 after that nice win. Maybe they can blow out someone on Friday and hit that all important 75 mark in the NET.

If Bradley sweeps next weekend, it’s all but a sure thing the Braves crack the top-75 and bump Drake to 2-0 in Q1.

BU vs. Creighton at the Fieldhouse in '82 would have still been worse.

Anyone know why Jake basically pulled his starters yesterday in the Bradley UNI game? Jake pulled Titan Anderson out with 13 minutes left after an out of control move at the basket that saw him hit the floor hard. Looking back through the play by play, Jacob Hutson was pulled with 14 minutes to go. Schwieger was pulled with 11 minutes to go.

Those could have been normal Sub patterns to start, but then they didn't play the rest of the game. Maybe it was because Bradley built a 20 point lead in that time frame with 9 minutes to go, and he didn't want anyone to get injured. I just thought it was weird to yield the 2 seed with that much time left, especially when UNI drained back to back 3's to get it to a 12 point game at one point.

Is Missouri State the best last place team in the Valley? They can really hang with anyone. To be honest they probably should have swept Drake this year. Either Cuonzo is a heck of a coach to keep this group so close every time out...or the talent is actually better than we think and the coaching is not doing them any favors. Perhaps it could be a little bit of both.

Is there concern in Bulldog land about the # of minutes the Drake big three play?

I assumed it was gamesmanship. Don't give Bradley more defensive reps on your best players and save them for Arch Madness when there is a decent chance Bradley and UNI play again in the semis. Motivate your starters by benching them and let Bradley feel overconfident.

Missouri State has the highest turnover rate in the league (Torvik), is 11/12 in offensive efficiency, and their Effective FG defense is 11/12 as well.

They stay "close" in some games because they play slow and have an average defensive efficiency. Among MVC teams, only Drake plays slower - which is why they play close games with Drake.

No need to run any more minutes onto those legs and no need to let Bradley get used to actions. I think it was a case of 'it's Bradley's day, lets just move on'. Schwieger and Tytan especially have been playing heavy minutes the last three weeks and Hutson has had a nagging ankle for pretty much all of the league season.

Plus, I think Jake likes the UIC matchup on Friday a heckuva lot more than Murray. UIC has looked completely lost in both matchups.
