Proud of our guys. It did seem to me that Jays were guaranteed a foul called on Aces every time they took it inside, and yet we seldom got one called against the Jays underneath. Jays shot twice as many foul shots. Regardless, we got beat more because of our lack of rebounding and our poor free-throw shooting. Hopefully, we will learn from this loss and continue the season stronger than ever.

Congrats, Jays!

We Fought. I can deal with this loss. We have rebounders coming next year.

Creighton's size inside enabled them to dominate 2nd chance points which was the difference in the ballgame. Creighton's multiple big guys are a tough matchup for UE as we're pretty small and typically only have one guy over 6-4 on the floor at the time. The rebounds and UE turning the ball over more than they have been made the difference. It's tough to go on the road in this league and win so now it's back to trying to defend home court against UNI come Tuesday.

Give the Jays credit for being the aggressors and using their size advantage to get the UE bigs in foul trouble. McDermott is pretty crafty on the block along with being pretty talented. Kid is going to be pretty tough the next few years.

Can't ever be satisfied with a loss, but this one left kind of a good taste in the mouth. If Colts hits a couple 3"s, and somebody hits a free throw, guess what, Aces win. Last year this would have been a 20 point loss. This year very different. Aces never give up, are playing with a lot of confidence, and could cause some serious problems in St. Lou.

At times, EU was trying to cover Echinique with a guard. They really had no choice but to foul once the ball got into his hands. Free throws were 6 CU and 3 EU in the first half. I don't think you can call that handing the game to CU at the free throw line. Further, at the 1:28 mark, EU had shot 8 free throws to CU's 7. CU shot 12 free throws after the 1:28 mark when EU started fouling to get the ball back. So find another excuse.

They often had a guard defending the Quarter Pounder as well.

I like Marty SImmons a lot and think he does a good job. He should be a legit COY candidate IMO since Evansville was predicted to be a cellar dweller by almost everyone.

The foul differential was based on CU being "big" and us not being able to guard them with "bigs" and us not being quick enough to recover from double downs. I am not surprised. Tough match up for us.

Refs had nothing to do with this loss.

I hate when people blame refs or other team shot so many FT's excuse.

Like Ace Dad said, Creighton is a tough match up for us.
