The line, or lack thereof, is an excuse. The line has come into play more then once this year, and the fact that the official had no idea where the line was speaks volumes. Furthermore, the Oregon player knew exactly how the line comes into play and that is why he was all over the official. All of that said, Creighton played well enough to beat Oregon in almost every facet of the game except 1. turnovers and 2. freethrow shooting. Make just a respectable amount of freethrow attempts and Creighton wins going away. Missing the front end of one and ones is like slashing your wrists. Turn the ball over once or twice less and Creighton wins as well. I think this is the first time the phantom line has come into play, but I've seen three or four games where players have done it in the past this year. The NCAA should address the issue but Creighton put itself in that position.
