Priceline just accepted my "Name your own" price to the Millenium for only $79/night.

Someone help me here....I had "heard" that the Millenium is pretty much a dump?

True or not?????

Probably since it is a $79 hotel. But its probably a good deal if you're only crashing there and spending most of your time at the games.

I went ahead and did the same thing. Thanks for the tip.

It's got some pretty poor reviews online, but I'm not too worried about it. It's just me and a buddy and we won't be spending much time in the room, and 80 percent of the time we do spend in the room, we'll be in a state in which White Castle sounds like gourmet dining, so I don't think quality of the wallpaper will be of much importance. I'm sure I will have stayed in worse rooms (I likely have lived in worse accomodations).

Based on reviews, though, I wouldn't book it if I were booking for, say, a family trip or something.

Calculation is number of pre-sale tickets sold times number of miles by car from the school's city (Cedar Falls, Omaha, Peoria, etc) to St. Louis and is one-way only.

To CU and WSU fans: Holy Alec Baldwin, that's a lot of miles!

Could you give this to us in pounds of CO2?

It's actually not bad. If you can, try your best to get the North Tower though. It's newer and we have never had problems with it in the past. We heard some bad stories about the other Tower, but none of us have ever stayed in the South Tower.

It has a decent size lobby. They allow you to drink and hang out there to all hours, as long as you don't get too loud.

Parking sucks there and is overpriced. A longer walk to Scottrade, but not bad at all. Pretty close to the Landing!

The sh**ty tower is apparently closed for renovation....and it was a dump and a half. Last time I stayed there the room smelled like a dead carcass....asked to get moved to a new room and the same thing.

The other tower is "nicer" but that doesn't make it nice. There are other much much nicer hotels in the area that I've been able to get at about the same price.

If you will only be sleeping/showering there and don't really gave a crap, it's the place for you though.

I'd call it the Knapp Center of the hotels.

Seriously folks, if you have never gone you should strongly consider it regardless of your team's success. It should be on your bucket list. I started going with a few friends a couple of years after it was moved to St. Louis back when only a few thousand people showed up for the games, and always had a great time, even though it was several more years before Dana, Rodney, Ryan, Ben and the other fellas got us to Monday night (those days the championship was on Monday night).

After the wife and I started a family, each of my kids was there before 2 years old. Even though we have missed some years, we have gone most of the last 10 years. CU has been good some years and not so good others. But, it is always fun to hang out with fellow fans (many of whom we have gotten to know from St. Louis) and I always take in most of the other games. It is just great fun to me to watch a great college basketball game live when you have no dog in that particular fight. Omaha is further than any other city, yet we watch the championship game (whether CU is in it or not) and still get home at a not too terribly late hour. If you have kids, I guaranty they will one day count it among their most favorite things to have done - win or lose. They get to see the players hanging out in the lobby, get autographs, etc. And even if the wife is not a big fan of basketball, Arch Madness is a great people watching place - you see all kinds there.

I'd call it the McCleod Center of the hotels.

Fixed for accuracy.
There are three rules that I live by, never get less than 12 hours sleep, never gamble with a guy who has the same first name as a city and never get involved with a chick with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Stick to that and everything else is gravy!
