1. Wichita State - nice inside/outside combo. Mental lapses will be the difference, IMO, between a dominant season and a good one.
2. Bradley - The pieces are there on the perimeter and wings, probably the best in the league. Inside will tell the tale for the Braves. Les probably won't like the outcome if they don't finish this high.
3. Missouri State - Experienced group, tough defense will be the hallmark. If they get consistent offense, they'll be very tough.
4. UNI - Battle tested group, good coach. Can they replace what the lose? Will sophomore Koch be better than the elder?
5. Creighton - New (old MVC) coach, best big in the league...but some questions. Enough talent is there to push higher.
6. Indiana State - Toughest team to peg, IMO. Could be top three and maybe win the league if things go well. Could be a debacle. Time will tell. My hunch is that this is too low for the Sycs.
7. Drake - Another of those teams that could make a jump up. Intriguing players on board, but can Phelps put it all together?
8. Illinois State - Probably too low, but when you lose the players they did it's tough to pick them much higher. Jank could earn his stripes this year.
9. Southern Illinois - SIUCC is full of new players, which can't be good after the season they just had. Maybe work will trump the "talent" the used to have?
10. Evansville - Well, I can't see how they compete for much higher than 9th.
