WSU's Gregg Marshall Publicly Reprimanded by MVC

Discuss the MVC hoops season here.

Pretty strong piling on from both sides on this thread. jayball and others, thanks for actually adding to the discussion.

Bottom line is that Marshall got his shots in (for better or worse) and the MVC rightfully repremanded him for what he said and what he insinuated. I have no issues with Coach for what he did or with Elgin for his response...Coach Marshall's public appology was ballsy.

jayball - the last post was right on. I am a Shocker fan, and have no problem with what you just said. It is what it is, and we are all entitled to our own opinions. Next season, the Valley will be a pretty darn good league. We need everyone to improve their scheduling (if that is even possible), and we could be a 3-4 bid league next season.
There will be some great basketball next season. How about we all just drop the name-calling and poor sportsmanship? There will be quite a few teams in post season play this season; all with relatively good shots at advancing. IMO, next season will be even better league-wide.

I'm not catholic, but is that supposed to be a bad thing?

Seriously though folks, there is a legitimate discussion to be had here, but let's lay off the name calling --- both in reference to Coach Marshall and each other.

Well, it would be helpful, if some, including the anal orifice, would start speaking with facts.

But on the other hand, don't let facts get in the way of a good discussion.

And it is a tie.

The winners are Star, JWA, glm, Bird and Double.

The worst of whom is glm. He sticks his finger in the air, checks to see which way the wind is blowing and then he piles on. Very predictable.

I said absolutely nothing negative about your coach in this thread? But coming from you I'll take that as a compliment. Can't take a little truthful negativity regarding your coach so you resort to name calling. Typical and predictable.

Go away, glm. Your next independent thought will be your first independent thought.

Or you could just stay on Shockernet where rational thinking is optional?
Tell us one more time about your rational thought that a frilly locker room will send you to the stars.

You WSU fans that are using this as your leg to stand on look about as silly as your coach did last weekend.

Did he come out and specifically say "the refs screwed us", or "the MVC conspired against us to cost us the game". No.

But anyone with a few brain cells can clearly see the meaning of his words. "The MVC got what they wanted". "I like our chances on a 'neutral' court". "I saw some 'strange' things today". All of that coupled with him supposedly exchanging words with the commish and barging into his presser, ridicule of your coach's actions is warranted.

So you're saying he never said it. Thanks for clarifying.
Dude...get a clue! :Bam: He CAN'T come right out and say it...but everyone and their moronic friends knew what the hell he was getting at.
Actually, mind reading is an art. There is one problem with mind reading. The reader is almost invariably wrong.

Send us to the stars? Where did that come from? All I said was better facilities might have a bearing on recruiting which could ultimately help in the win/loss column. Sheesh. :Bam:

That's a lot more logical statement than some you've made recently.

I vote we shut this thread down. The folks at Wichita have their view of the facts and the rest of us have our view of the facts. No one is going to convince the other side that their view is correct. We won't accomplish much of anything further but continue to anger each other.

With that said I hope all teams in The Valley who are in post season play will be victorious!!!  Even WSU!!!

Auf Wiedersehn.

Wrong again Ricardo.....

Mind reading From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

Sira Garcias song

Gregggggg spoke and everyone (but WSU fans) HEARD what he said. And what he said spoke volumes about what he thought.

Not real hard to figure out if you have above a 2nd grade education.

Some might say this thread is the predictable result of a program and a lot of it's fan-base thinking they are better than they really are.
