That was a nice way to start the season with a road win. Now the bad, they could easily lose the next 7 of 10 games. Mercer, Valpo, IU, Ohio, Murray, X and Butler. I don't think they will but it wouldn't shock me. I also think with this young group they will continue to get better and better throughout the season. They will not have a better record then last year but could be a team you wouldn't want to play in St Louis because they would have the possibility to sneak up on you.

Yay! Typical Evansville!

Horrible non-con that kills RPI then have a game where they somehow shoot 60% and beat a team contending for a bid!!

That doesn't look as a horrible non con RPI killer schedule . It would be nice if you would wait til the games are played before you worry that we might sweep you again for a 3rd year.

That last sentence is exactly what he is talking about.

Lose to complete crap, play a complete crap schedule (most of the time) and then find a way to play out of your ass against UNI, Creighton, and WSU

If they lose to crap and then beat you, what does that make you?

If you're not good enough to beat UE, what makes you think you should contend for a bid?

So...WSU and Creighton didn't deserve bids last year?

It's all about league perception. Nobody is going undefeated in the Valley. Upsets happen. When teams tank the non con and then start winning in Valley play, it makes the league look bad. I don't think it's too hard of a concept to understand unless maybe you haven't been in the position to make the NCAAs in a while.

The past 3 seasons, UNI has finished 1 spot ahead, tied, and 1 spot ahead of UE. UNI has won a whole 2 more regular season MVC games than UE combined over the past three years. Let's not pretent UNI, at the moment, is head and shoulders above UE.
