Lemon can actually be a great defender when he's not moping, which he presumably wouldn't on a roster like WSU.

But of course, Cotton in an Elite with a capital E defender.

After watching tonight's game, I am not sure Lemon would get anything but mop up minutes if he was on WSU.

Lemon would play for WSU. He wouldn't start over FVV, Baker, or Cotton. The problem with Lemon is he isn't a good enough ball handler to be a PG, not a good enough outside shooter to be a shooting guard, and not tall enough to play the 3. As they were talking about on the radio last night, he is a man without a real position. This came from WSU's radio, but was brought up to them by Bradley's radio guy.

I know you guys love Cotton, but pretty bold to say you would play him over Lemon...Lemon with FVV and Baker would be a SICK guard set!

In my opinion, Lemon would be the first guard off the bench or possible starter if he demonstrated a "buy in" to the WSU system. Cotton absolutely everything asked of him by the coaching staff (as does Baker). Lemon would have to demonstrate this same level of commitment. If he did, there is no question that he has the talent to start. I personally don't believe he would demonstrate that same commitment and his minutes would suffer as a result.

Also...... I dunno what Walt did to never get a call ........Id have him focused on getting to the box before everyone else!

What play coach? Give it to Walt and try to get a layup if not ......inside to Picket, Barnes, Taylor,Prosser. Get a easy quick one or run the clock all the way down.

Since I know you don't think wins are important, why would you put Pickett on the first team versus the following players that have better stats?

Pickett: 12.2 points, 7.7 rebounds.

Tuttle: 13.4 ppg, 8.1 rebounds
Ballentine: 22.4 ppg, 4.0 assists
Jackson: 20.6 ppg, 5.3 rebounds
Carter: 17.9 ppg, 3.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists
Early: 16.0 ppg, 6.6 rebounds
Thomas: 14.1 ppg, 6.8 rebounds

Other than being the second best rebounder in the conference, he doesn't stack up as a first team player (though he is very good). Being on a bad team brings a lot of other players in in front of him.

I'm not entirely sure Baker would start over Cotton if Marshall had to make a decision between the two.
