Hope for a good game and some great reading after the game on those boards.

What is entertaining to you from the Shocker board?

I won't answer that. It is entertaining to me, that's all.

Actually, the Shox winning has mellowed me tremendously. The Shox are a respected team and have earned that respect. The next hurdle is to maintain the respect.

Winning always attracts fans who adopt the teams' success as an indication of their own superiority.

If you thik Shocker fans are bad, you have seen NOTHING! Play some power conference schools when it matters and check out some of those fans. I particularly remember Ohio State fans as less than gracious when the Shox didn't allow them their rightful place in the NCAA's.

Yes, it's quite entertaining if you enjoy reading posts from 2 or 3 fans on each site that constantly bash the other team with half truths and name calling.

From Indiana St beat writer...kind of funny

Illinois State is having a Red Out tonight for Wichita State. Please, please, ISU, do something original when WSU comes to Terre Haute.

I think lofton and knight are gunna have big games and the birds will have a good shooting night since they play a lot better at home. Reggie and jones will keep the rebound totals close enough for the birds to stay in the game. Birds 75 shockers 72

I would think Cotton will be on Lofton or Knight...so I doubt they will both have a big night.
Just goes with winning. Fanbases swell and the degree of arrogance does as well. Every winning team in every sport has it.

I've heard a lot of horror stories about SIU fans during their recent heyday, but SIU has the nicest fans on here now. Only the even-keeled people live through the lean years.
And funny??? i remember going on the SIU board and reading some of the posts about them wanting to get rid of Lowery---very funny stuff. They took their lack of success in stride with the hope of better days to come.
