Not trying to be a total homer but assuming Tuttle plays the 5 for the Shox then yes. Consider the fact that he is dominating most of the Valley in the post despite being the only real post option for UNI. He is getting doubled constantly and still averaging ~17-18 ppg. Team him up with guys like Early and guards like Baker and Van Vleet and there is no way anyone could afford to double him. Imagine if Seth Tuttle were playing defenses one on one all season long.

I doubt he'd be the same focal point of the offense like he is at UNI but he'd probably be even more efficient with his scoring. He's also probably the best passer/distributor out of Valley big men. He is outstanding at passing out of double teams and finding open shooters like Bohannon.

Wichita has some talented big men currently playing the 5 and they are getting solid minutes for a reason but Tuttle is the leagues 2nd best forward after Early and the best 5 if you don't like going by simple G/F/C classifications.

Are we assuming Odum was a senior who had spent three years playing at WSU already? If he was the established starter, he'd play, and FVV would back him up, and we'd have the most incredible guard lineup in the country. If it was just best man starts, Odum is the backup, but still plays a ton. Tuttle would get the most minutes at the 5 ... Our starter is usually based on who gives the best option for the tip off, though.

Trying to say who from another team would play on another team is silly. Neither Tuttle or Odum are HCGMs type of player. It's not about talent it's about what tools a player has that works in his style.

Yup. Tuttle wouldn't play for WSU. Not because he isn't a good basketball player. But because he can't run up and down the floor more than 4 times without needing his coach to call a timeout.

At 18-0, 31-0, and winning the league by 6 games, anyone who doesn't vote the 4-Horsemen for WSU to first team, did it wrong.

Tuttle is an absolute stud that brings it every game, and has the stats to back it up. To even attempt to cut him down is a joke.

I understand the arguing for your own guys stuff, but the "he wouldnt play for team A" stuff is beyond ridiculous.

Read the post. He wouldn't play for WSU, not because of a lack of skills, but because his body type doesn't fit Marshall's mold. There is a reason Jacobson calls a timeout every 5 minutes when UNI plays WSU. It's because Tuttle is very good, and he needs to rest him during timeouts to keep him on the floor.

Tuttle would be my pick for the 5th spot on 1st Team All-Valley.

Interesting because every for ESPN or Comcast broadcast I've seen this year for UNI the announcers always remark how Seth is one of the first players down the court and runs so well for a big guy. But thanks for playing buddy.

He can run. He can't run for 30 minutes. Beating Seth VanDeest down the court doesn't win the league. You're trying to be offended about something that isn't offensive.

I don't think "one of the only undefeated teams in college basketball history" is quite equivalent to "team A," as if that's an insult. Tuttle would probably start, but I've seen him play against WSU's bigs. He wasn't being double teamed. He shot barely above 30% at home, and was 1-8 on the road. It's hardly a slam dunk that he would start for WSU ... He played poorly against our bigs.

Wouldn't we base whether he was better than our guys on his actual play against them? He does well against Valley teams, but he didn't do well against our physical play.
