They absolutely do, and their hoops program would do wonders to strengthen that conference. Adding a program of that caliber might even make Gonzaga more receptive to the MWC (but I think that move is going to happen around 2025. ESPN is going to want it, and Gonzaga is going to want to secure their future after Mark Few. Going to the MWC would help them immensely.

I'm sure New Mexico is blocking them.

If money were no object, they'd be a great Valley addition, along with Murray.

Football is what is preventing them from going to the MWC or another FBS conference. They have the worst FBS program over the last 15 years. They’ve won 25% of their games. MWC doesn’t want another football mouth to feed.

Looks like the WAC will have the membership strength to survive should Chicago State drop out of D1. Somehow this conference just continues to survive.

Beneficial for Dixie State whom Tarleton State will join as FCS Independents. Props to DavidSt of CSNbbs who’s on a Nostradamus-like tear of realignment predictions.

As a Colts fan I've actually heard of Tarleton State. Colts drafted a guy from there named EJ Speed in the fifth round. Has to work out some things but boy is that guy quick and talented.

Surprised they didn’t call up West Texas A&M to rekindle an ol mvc rivalry with New Mexico St.

St Thomas (MN) will be joining the Summit League if their DIII to DI waiver is approved (Spoiler: It will be).

They'll start play in the Summitt League and Pioneer Football League in 2021-22. They want to be a full scholarship FCS Football team by 2030.

This avoids the Summit's Auggie problem and puts them on solid footing for Autobids and such for if/when Western Illinois drops to DII.

Just saw Mid Major Madness tweet about this. I know they've been a DIII football power for a while, but has any other school ever jumped from DIII straight to DI before?
