Clearly grabbing one of the top 4 seeds is everybody's goal and UNI is still in the running. I continue to see no path for VU to finish worse than 10-8 unless Fazekas remains out and Valpo sustains yet another injury. UNI and the field will likely have to hit that 10-8 target as well.

There has been an ongoing joke on the VU board about Smits and Sorolla being the "Smirolla". Lots of time, energy and scholarship dollars have been invested in their development. The dream was for a 2 headed 7 foot monster that could terrorize the Horizon and then the MVC conferences. With respect that Krutwig had them both running home to their mothers I will shout to the rest of you --ITS ALIVE!!!!!-----ITS ALIVE!!!!

Update: The over was correct. Bradley shot 32% for the half and scored 20 points. SIU shot 40% and scored 26.

Meanwhile, in Des Moines, Drake leads MSU 37-24 at half. Lots of 3s falling for D+

Drake wins over MSU 74-63. Bulldogs had some bigger leads through out the second half. Ellingson hot from 3.

Gotta chuckle out of a UNI fan on my twitter feed having a meltdown over Valpo today.

I expect that out of some ill-informed fans, but not a freaking beat-writer. There was some twitter back and forth between the UNI Beat Writer and a UNI fanboy that was classless and childish. It looked like two playground bullies that needed a throat-punch.

UNI fanboys are the last ones who should be throwing shade on facilities and fan support.

I just can't figure out if it's their fear or jealousy over Valpo.

The fear or jealousy line will go down in MVC message board history as an all-time classic.
