If you don't like his reporting make your interviews short and curt, be polite, but don't cut him off. That said, it's Wardle's prerogative who has access to his team and players. There's no inherent right to it being a newspaper reporter. This isn't the White House with public employees. It's a private institution.
Sure what I pointed out were facts. He could have also mentioned Bradley's 1950 pointshaving scandal. That would be a fact too. But when you cherrypick facts that paint the program in a negative light, people aren't going to like it. Especially the head coach.
If there's a negative fact, he'll report it. If there's a positive fact, he might. That's my beef in a nutshell. I guess you'd have to read this stuff for over a decade to begin to see where I'm coming from. And I know journalism well. I know well the old adage "comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable," but again, that really doesn't apply to beat reporting for midmajor basketball.

But if (assuming you don't agree with me that Reynolds is anti-BU) some future reporter publishes nothing but hit pieces, why wouldn't you want *something* at the ready to counter? Carrots and sticks. Why do you have to accept everything said about you and Bradley at face value and smile and take it??
