He's beaten out Wichita State transfer Ricky Torres for the starting PG position. Muller puts guys in and out of the starting lineup based on defense and DJ has shown flashes of a young Paris Lee. He is still learning how to be a PG (primarily getting assists) but he is shooting 66.7% from the floor including 53% from 3. He's started the last two games and over the last three is averaging 13.3 ppg. He takes good, high percentage shots.
If he continues to progress, I could see him being in the conversation.

No.

No.
I really hope not but in today's landscape, coaches are having to recruit their own kids every year. Horne and Reeves are definitely going to turn some heads. If not after this season, after next. Keeping those two together for four years would really, really benefit the program. They're roommates, so hopefully the brotherhood/friendship they share is enough to keep them together at ISU at a long time.

I know how it works.
If I were an ISU fan the concern with Horne isn't that he will be recruited away by someone else, but the fact that he is from Georgia. Getting closer to home may interest him. The paranoia about "big schools" recruiting players from the MVC is over the top.
tribecalledquest wrote:It's just the way the game is now. Some guys leave who we don't want to leave, and some who we want to leave, do. ISU starts two transfers (Fisher and Hillsman) and plays three more quite a bit (Torres, Chastain and Boyd). We can't lament transfer culture and then also take advantage of it.
