Agree, but that is too big of an if for me to realistically entertain that as a possibility right now. We've lost two games in the first seven. One to a team with only one league win. Not a lot of evidence there that we can we win a bunch in a row.

I think at-large discussion should be put to bed unless UNI wins their next 6 or 7. As it is, the possibility is too remote to be worth discussing. And, quite frankly, holding out hope is just going to frustrate me more when we inevitably lose 3-4 more.

I agree I think the at large discussion is being brought up too early and too often. Yes, it’s exciting to have a team from the Valley in consideration but what we’ve seen so far is that the Valley is not a cake walk and UNI would have to somehow go on a crazy win streak which seems unlikely.

Unfortunately, I'll have an extremely bitter taste about this one as the officiating was simply inexcusable. Obviously I'm biased but it really felt like SIU's aggressive D was allowed to get away with much more than UNI. That flagrant foul on Green from being fouled by Brown was one of the strangest and dumbest calls I've seen. I just don't understand in what world that is a flagrant when the contact and foul was 100% initiated by the other party.

If your elbow connects with a defenders chin, you can’t be surprised that gets called a flagrant, intentional or not. Green had his elbow up pretty high when he was driving and Brown was just trying to keep pace. I don’t think you can say it was 100% Brown.

I didn't see the play, but I did notice in the Bradley UNI game on Saturday that Green used his off hand a lot when driving to push the defender away. It's just subtle enough not to get called, but it was definitely something he does. I assume the play was him driving and catching a guy in the chin with his off arm.

In which Brown was 100% in his cylinder and got called for a foul. He literally put his face in the way of AJ's arm.

3 of UNI's last 4 losses--
Bradley--6 point play on replay for Bradley, UNI loses by 3.
West Virginia--6 point play on Replay for WVU, UNI loses by 5.
SIU--4 point play on replay for SIU, UNI loses by 2.

Cost us one NCAA bid for sure and may have cost us a second one.

Keep in mind that on none of these plays were there fouls called on the floor, they were 100% replay initiated. That's just really shitty luck.

We are a good enough team that we should have overcome it last night but man it's frustrating.

An elbow to the face is as flagrant as it gets. I saw it in person.

AJ Green gets a TON of calls. So this one didn't go his way. The ledger still points in his direction.

After watching it a few times I think it’s more like Green extended his cylinder 100% into Brown’s face :D

Don't think it was intentional at all, but still a flagrant.

Imagine thinking getting called for the correct call is bad luck. Panther fan forum hilarious today too crying about everything saying SIU is a terrible team they should never lose to.... LOL I was rooting for UNI to be an at large team but now that their fans are acting like Wichita State fans I prefer they go ahead and lose about 5 more games.

Our board has actually been pretty complimentary of SIU.

Absolutely played their tails off last night and played that last possession as well as you can by not leaving Berhow after he set that slip screen. That ball was supposed to go to him. Lots and lots of teams would have given him a wide open look there that he most likely buries.

Mullins is getting those kids to play damn hard. Have a great shot to be a force once the talent level improves. I could definitely see them missing out on the Thursday festivities in StL. Missouri State and Valpo should be real nervous about that.

SIU being good and the fact that UNI shouldn't have lost to them on paper are not mutually exclusive thoughts.
