I was able to watch most of this game, and came away impressed. Both teams represented the MVC well on National TV. It also made me realize how much work Nagy and staff have to do to bring SIU to that type of level.
Yes, that dunk was amazing. Just a super athletic play.

Yeah, it a great power dunk, but, his drive to the basket was unabated for 20 feet.

UIC isn't catching Belmont, nor are any of the 7-9 teams.

Belmont would have to lose 3 of their remaining 4 (UNI, Indiana State, at Missouri State, Murray). UIC would have to win 3 of their last 4 (at Drake, Evansville, at UNI, Valpo)

You are probably correct “The top four seeds are probably locked up, but they are not officially locked up.
Did you think that Drake was a lock for the #1 seed before their game with Bradley. My guess is no. You probably thought (and still think) that UNI could still get the #1 seed.

No UNI can't get the 1 seed in any realistic scenario. A tie for 1st, which in itself is unlikely, would give Drake the 1 seed because UNI has no chance to catch Drake in the NET.

UNI still has at Belmont, Drake and at Bradley. Can't imagine going 3-0 through that stretch and Murray and UIC are good enough to beat UNI as well if UNI doesn't bring it.
