On the Omaha news tonight they were interviewing Coach Mac about Baby Mac getting the accolades today and he reiterated that had Casey Harriman and Ethan Wragge stayed healthy Doug would have redshirted this year.

Here is some logic in probability for you as follows:

Probability of Trees winning the tournament (P).

Assumption: Let's make the generous assumption that the Trees have a 50% probability of winning each of the three games to win the tournament.

Then P = 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 = 12.5%

Since each succeeding game will be more difficult to win, let's assume the rates of winning are as follows:

Game #1 50%
Game #2 45%
Game #3 40%

Then P = 0.5 x 0.40 x 0.30 = 6.0%

Miracles do happen.

Chaminade beat #1 Virginia by the score of 77-72 in 1982.

In 2008, Miami upset New England by the score of 38-13 and broke New England's winning streak of 21 games. New England was a heavy favorite to win the game.

My advice: Cheer much, bet little, post little, boast little.

I'm not saying this to piss off any ISU fans, just making an observation.....I just think it's funny how before the season, some ISU fans were talking about one of the seniors as a future NBAer, and now it's "we don't lose much". Serious question for Syc fans.....was Kelly's injury/illness perhaps a blessing in disguise? I doubt if Odum would have gotten the minutes he's getting now had Kelly been healthy.

I don't know if Yes and No can answer your question or not, here. First off, the people who said Kelly is a future NBAer were just wrong. He's a good player, and probably should have been the best player on our team since Moss or before...but he's gone through a ton in his life and just can't seem to stay healthy. He also doesn't have the quickness to play in the league; though most here know that I'm sure. That being said, Odum definitely isn't getting 25-30 minutes a game and leading the Valley in a couple conference only statistical categories if Kelly is healthy the whole season. However, without Kelly, we probably wouldn't have won the MSU game at home, might not have beaten CU at home, and the WSU game in Wichita wouldn't have been close. So the fact that he's been out a lot this year has hurt the team as well because he does bring a lot to the table in terms of the rotation used and scoring options on the floor...especially since it took Lathan so darn long to get back in the swing of things.

I think what greenwell is pointing out is that our starting lineup is losing Carter after this year. Kelly has been a very welcome addition to the team, but he hasn't been able to stay on the floor for an extended period of time. Losing Carter, Kelly, and Martin hurts depth wise for sure, but it's not like we're losing Richard, Walker, Lathan, and Printy (that's next year...ugh).

OOOOk. Look I know we have all said some ridiculous things...I thought with a great senior season he could have been a back of the roster type guy...I mean 6 6 point guard will get u into the d league by itself prolly lol..but point is, everyone is talking about this team like it's a play-in team but we are the 3rd best team in the valley, and it's only gonna get better...and yes saying that first line doesnt make any difference to me...I do think Kelly's injury was a blessing in disguise prolly but hey Odum has that it factor that prolly would have been on the floor anyways...

I can't wait either because you and the rest of the "Sycamore Hater Nation" will post your typical pointless remarks on a thread that was created merely as a joke....

Do you expect anything more out of some of these people. I love that they can talk up their team but we can't talk up ours. But I am out of this thread. Best of luck to all of your teams in St. Louis this week-end!!!!
