-------Sycamore Fans vs The Valley
Cant we settle this in other ways?------
I mean c'mon fellas...were all for the Valley no matter what-------
Here is some logic in probability for you as follows:
Probability of Trees winning the tournament (P).
Assumption: Let's make the generous assumption that the Trees have a 50% probability of winning each of the three games to win the tournament.
Then P = 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 = 12.5%
Since each succeeding game will be more difficult to win, let's assume the rates of winning are as follows:
Game #1 50%
Game #2 45%
Game #3 40%
Then P = 0.5 x 0.40 x 0.30 = 6.0%
Miracles do happen.
Chaminade beat #1 Virginia by the score of 77-72 in 1982.
In 2008, Miami upset New England by the score of 38-13 and broke New England's winning streak of 21 games. New England was a heavy favorite to win the game.
My advice: Cheer much, bet little, post little, boast little.
