I would too, I HATE it when a player is being a whiny Botch... That being said a fist bump and waving arms is o.k. but in excessive amounts is bad and just leads not so good situations.

PeKaph wrote:Face it: you hate Kyle Weems because (a) he's good, and (b) he beats your team and there isn't a thing you can do about it. Keep on hating. He doesn't care. If you don't like it, that means that he's doing it right. Your continued attempts at rationalizing your hate are funny, but in the end meaningless.

I don't hate Leonard, I didn't hate Ahearn, Those are the first 2 SWOMO players that come to mind. I could probably name off some good players that beat us from other MVC schools if you really want me to.

Basically the point is this. You can try and rationalize Weems's actions anyway you want. But in the end, it's meaningless.

There is celebrating a tough shot (like a last second jumper or 3 pointer) and then there is constantly taunting EVERY time you make a play throughout a game.

Weems taunts and that makes him come across as a jerk. Hate the guy, and not cause he is a decent player. If I had to play against him I would get tossed in each game for laying his ass out. It would be worth it though.

Oh and Weems and Creekmore cry just as much as any player I have ever seen in the Valley when plays or fouls don't go there way.

Creekmoore crying like a little girl made my day.

Come on man suck it up and act like a man, it is just a game, you lost and they won.

Remember in the grand scheme of life it is a trivial matter, cry when your dad or mom dies, not after losing a stupid sporting event.

Creekmore whines at officials, I completely agree and dislike it as much as anyone from any other school. But it is no reason to make fun of a guy for breaking down after realizing he just lost his dream of playing in an NCAA tourney.

As far as Weems, the reaction to the stuff he does is so blown out of proportion it is absurd. I started this thread as a complete joke and it has gone way too far. Every game in college basketball has chest bumping, arm waiving, staring down, etc, and it happens at any point in any game, not just the end. The only time I think it would cross over into self advertisement is if you do it in a game that you are either winning or losing big, which I have never seen Weems do.

I know people have acknowledged that on and off the court are two different things and all the other schools do not see anything but the on court.....but what is so funny is that Weems is one of the best people you will meet and they way the other schools are perceiving him is really far from reality.

One thing I do agree with is that this has gone way too far....don't think I will revisit this post....just let it die and go away.

In his freshman year, after making two three pointers in a row, Weems "stared down" the CU bench as ran back down the floor. Oh yeah, MSU was down double digits at the time...
