Of course he did, he does talk radio in Indianapolis, so he is a homer....he should be expected to make that pick to keep his listeners happy.

I will clarify that I am cheering for every Valley team and want them all to win....but I just don't see them winning this game....and Odum is a good player, but I would am far from calling him a national impact player that would be a player to watch in the tourney.

Show me a sportscaster from NY picking ISU and I will give that a thought.

Show me a sportscaster from the east coast who has watched any mid-major that isn't in their hometown.

ISU blue may not win, but I think they'll represent well.

What an asinine post................."Show me a sportscaster from NY picking ISU and I will give that a thought." You really put a lot of thought into that comment didn't you?

As an MSU fan, I'll begrudgingly root for ISU when the time comes but it hurts to be the dominant force in a league and then miss out on the Dance because another school was a shade hotter on a single weekend. It leaves a sour taste in ones mouth. I mean I doubt the Soviet hockey team was rooting too hard for Team USA against Sweden in the 1980 Olympics after their semifinal defeat.

IDK what to think of this game...there are moments that I think that we are good match-up offensively, other times I think this will either be an upset or a blow-out...and Idk if you can compare competitively ur team to the soviets considering we had beat u once this season lol

You need to get this through your thick skull…………ISU-B beat MSU 2 out of 3 times this year. The sycamores were a young team with a first year coach that continued to improve throughout the year. They were maturing at seasons end.

Now, smooth you skirt out and move on.

I'm not even going to comment from an ISUb standpoint, because that will just get the thread locked. But to say you were THE dominant force in the league is just laughable. You won the league on the last game of the regular season. You did not win going away. You barely came away with a win on Friday in the Tournament. Your average margin of victory in conference was less than 8.5.

In short, you were a team that knew how to win, had senior leadership, and just couldn't come away with the big prize at the end. That sucks for the school, players, and fans. BUT...you were not dominant. Besides, with all the weak MVC talk, a dominant team would have gone 18-0 in the conference.

You make some fair points. Winning the league weith a .833 winning percentage is where I get dominant from. I don't begrudge the Sycamores they got hot when they needed too either due to superior coaching or pure luck or in all likelihood a combination. My main issue as I am still dealing with the snub, is the fact that if the Valley had a fairer conference structure like the West Coast Conference, we'd be in their shoes probably because our starters could rest more. Or if it was like many mid-major conferences, the league champ would host and we would be in in that scenario as well. That is my beef.

I hope ISU Blue pulls the upset, I really do but I see it being a tough matchup that will likely go the way of the Orangemen. It's just hard because I think this MSU team was built for the Sweet Sixteen and I think if things would have worked out a little different, we'd be the ones with an opportunity to be the next George Mason. That's all.

Casey, ISU-B Coach Lansing just finished his interview on The JMV Show on 1070 The Fan and he discussed that he felt that MSU definitely deserved to be in the tournament as well as WSU. He compared both teams to Purdue and Notre Dame. He believes that both MSU and WSU were as formidable opponents as PU and ND.

Life just isn't fair sometimes and I share your disappointment for MSU, WSU and the MVC.

Your last line is a good point.

Isn't it interesting how many talented teams there are in Indiana right now? I wonder what that is all about. I feel for the Hoosiers though, some great fans there. I'm sure it has to be tough to see that going on around them.
