I believe it's 1 point for first, 2 for 2nd and so on.

We can now add Baseball to Creighton's list.

Given Creighton's tradition of success in all sports, does yet another baseball title push Creighton over the top to overcome WSU for this coveted trophy?

From the MVC website:

The All-Sports Trophy is based on a school's average finish in each of the sponsored championships by the Missouri Valley Conference. Teams are awarded one point for first, two for second, three for third, etc., and the total accumulated points are divided by the number of sports in which a particular school competes. Finishes in baseball, basketball, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball are based on regular-season competition. All other sports are determined by finish at the championship tournament or championship meet.

Creighton will probably move up after capturing the Baseball title yesterday. WSU should clinch with their 2nd place finish in Baseball

12 of the 15 sports WSU sponsors finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd. The other 3 sports either had their coaches fired or put on notice. I have WSU with a 2.73 average, a little high for the win (on average) but good enough this season I think.

Does MVCF(football)count towards the All Sports Championship? IMHO, it should and the 4 football members that are only football participants would be eliminated, thereby, awarding points only to the MVC teams. The four schools not fielding football teams simply lose out in receiving any points toward the award.

Furthermore, these four schools that don't field and support football programs most likely couldn't pay their basketball coaches the way above average salaries they currently pay.

Just saying……..

Ok. Granted that Isaco has a way of wording something so that there is usually an implied or expressed insult somewhere contained in the post, but you seem to rise to the occasion (or should I say bait) quite often. I have learned over the course of the last five years to ignore most of what Isaso says either here or on Shockernet because he usually pisses me off too. Actually, more times than not, I just shake my head and move on. All this discussion is crap. The numbers are what they are. If CU has the point total based on how the MVC awards points then congratulations on the win. There should be nothing more to say.
