Hall looks great. He's really slimmed down and looks more athletic. I was impressed with Early and Armstead too especially down the stretch.

You have to think the Shox offense will get better as they get more familiar with each other and Marshall's system. Shox could be a force by Jan.

Somehow Early gets points when I'm not looking. He was actually our leading scorer on a relatively quiet 13 points. I want to see his shot start to fall.

Really good learning game win or lose, but I'm oh-so-glad the Shockers won.

No doubt that was an extremely ugly game. I'm pretty sure both team's defense had a lot to do with that. Nonetheless, I'm just glad we finally got our revenge! God bless Malcolm Armstead

Funny thing is that he (Early) is shooting 47.4% so far this early season. I think that is pretty respectable. I think we all remember the 1-11 he had during the exhibition game, but that doesn't count towords stats on the season. Where I HOPE he gets a little better at is 3pt %. So far he is 0-5. In fact, other than Baker and somewhat Wessel we haven't really started hitting 3's yet. Hopefully that changes some. His line after just 2 games is:

11.5ppg, 47.4%FG, 83.3%FT, 5.5rpg, 2to, 2 blocks. Not horrible for a guy just now learning to play Div 1.

Solid win for the Shox and the Valley. These are the types of W's the MVC needs if we hope to see multiple teams in the tourney.

Take the phantom foul 2 years ago that led to a Final Four, add the wet spot Vs a goaltend on a shot that was going to miss anyways.

Karma still has a way to go to be even.

Maybe you should go handicap something your speed...get back to me on that.

Didn't realize you could bet on the special olympics.

I wish I could have actually seen this game despite any sloppiness. That's to b e expected, especially from a team like the Shox right now, having replaced everyone. Give it time, I bet these guys come out and still finish high in the standings. No totally convinced that they will be competing for an automatic/at-large yet but I only have a box score to go off of at this point. This is the type of game that is a big step in the right direction however. Nice job Shox!
[Insert snappy comeback]

The real question is how good is vcu? It is really hard to make any judgement about this game without really knowing that answer. But regardless a road win no matter against who is big deal and having against of a team with name recognition such as vcu can't hurt.

I know, he actually has been decent. It just feels like we are tapping the surface. That 11.5 PPG feels like it came effortlessly, and I think he could easily get 15, 20, 25 points a game if his shot starts to fall.
