It's time to start over-hyping another Shocker. This one could be a FoY candidate - if a big guy can be decent in his Fr year. Most bigs don't really show their game until they're upperclassmen. there might also be a problem with his getting minutes.

Shaquille Morris is a 6'8", 270 C/PF. He recently dropped 20 points, grabbed 8 boards, and blocked 5 shots aginst a team of All-Stars from Texas, which is some pretty serious competition.

Morris runs the court and has some serious athleticism. If you want to see video proof, here it is.

Or maybe some ups from a really big guy

I don't there is any doubt Baker is a VERY good young guard. He does a lot of things very well. Sweet jumper, pretty athletic, sneaky good rebounder, good defender, moves well off the ball, etc. But in watching him multiple games I just didn't see him show a "break the defense down" ability with the ball much at all. Maybe he has that ability but it didn't come out much last year.

To me Baker and M Marshall are easily the 2 best young guards in our league. And really 2 of the better players period if both progress as they should in their 2nd year. I'm looking forward to their head to head matchups the next 3 years.

Such insecurity from a surfacely smug fan base.

Typical response when the facts don't support you. Discount the poster and focus on trivial details. What a whimpy response. Wah,Wah, Wah :Violin:

Man, you're so damn predictable.

Marshall is very good. He is not unique and you described Ron Baker with his talents.

I think Marshall is a stud duck. Very tough.

If he was a Shocker, I would not mind.

Agreed. He is very good and I would be excited if he was a Shocker.

I heard the same about Colt Ryan as a freshman.

The thing is though is that your perceived "weakness" is inaccurate. No, I don't have day-to-day game film to prove my case in a court of law, but I've seen the kid play a lot this year, probably more than you have, and he has broken defenders off the dribble. No, it's not his strong spot, but it happens. It certainly isn't a weakness.

It's obvious, per usual, that you're just begging to find something to undercut WSU with. You can't stand the success of a perceived "rival". Obviously history is backing Missouri State in the basketball department..

I think Colt Ryan was an excellent player, but if he played for a more complete team, he'd be more of a 14-15 ppg player. He had to do too much for Evansville because the Aces didn't have anyone else anywhere near his ability.

Doesn't mean he wasn't very talented. He pretty much single-handedly beat WSU on senior-night.

He's just looking for anything to attempt to troll us.

He lost any right to be taken seriously when he refused to discuss stats after being the one that brought them up in the first place.

Let the Bears fans enjoy the offseason. God knows they never get to enjoy the actual season.
