I don't think you have to worry about that. This guy isn't a fan of anything other than hearing himself talk.

Fizzle. Are you a real Bear fan or Johnny Come Lately used to seeing them get beat. If you had been around as long as me you would have seen some real bear BB. I stared watching the Bears in 49 or 50, and believe me that was good BB. As I posted somewhere else on this forum, we packed McDonald Arena every game

As for someone else' comments about the 50s and 60s MVC. I will concede that The MVC was ONE of the top conference. But, only three of the current MVC schools were in the conference in those days (WSU, Bradley, and Drake). Late 40s and 50s Bradley was a big time program---probably better than WSU. The MVC big dogs were mostly gone by 1973 or 74 (Cincy, Memphis, Louisville, St Louis, plus others by 1984. Don't remember or find anything on Drake other than quote "Drake’s most famous event is the Drake Relays began in 1910 end of quote."

I'm glad you enjoyed watching the Bears in the 1960s.

Hey WuFan. Don't knock me, I am one of your fans. Wish we could see you KC--in person---do get a couple of your games on TV--would like to see more. The reason I advocate for UMKC in the MVC is so we can get you and MSU to play in KC. Both WSU and MSU have big fan bases in the KC Metro area. Truth be know, Drake and UNI also have big fan baes in KC---for Iowans to go to KC to see the Royals, Chiefs or go to Worlds of Fun Amusement Park is just about as good as going to heaven---to add Drake and UNI to that list may be more than Iowa can handle. And wait till we get the Big 12 BB Tourney back---there will be so many Iowa State Cadillacs (conversion vans) on the streets traffic will be gridlocked. KC a great college BB town--hosted more national championships than any other city.

Oh, great! KU should never play WSU because WSU is second-rate and sometimes not very good. BUT...WSU and MSU are SUPPOSED to play UMKC, which has ALWAYS been horrible.

This is typical Johnson County (Kansas City, KS) thinking. KU is the only school that matters. Every other school is second-tier. Northeast Kansas has always had their noses up each others collective asses. Their thumbs are brown from sticking them up in there too so they can thumb their noses at the rest of the state.

WSU fans put up with this attitude on an ongoing basis from ignorant KU fans who feel entitled to greatness. They are arrogant and feel they deserve nothing but the greatest of all things. Of course the fact that KU has lost to a Valley team in 3 of the last 4 contests in the NCAA's doesn't seem to diminish their feeling of superiority.

Lately there have been almost as many threads about WSU on the KU message board as there are threads about KU. The latest thinking from the geniuses like this guy is that KU is obviously better than WSU because WSU doesn't have any McD's AA's so obviously KU is better.

Yeah, Kentucky's 5 lottery picks on their team last year obviously made them the best team in the UNIVERSE. Just because they were in the NIT and didn't do that well there doesn't mean anything. They had TALENT!

There's a lot of insecurity among KC fans of KU right now. Last time KU faced a Valley team some kid named Ali Farkmaneshistan drilled them. Last year WSU finished ahead of them in the NCAA's. Now WSU is ahead of them in the polls and has 3 fewer losses on the books. The insecurity is erupting EVERYWHERE these guys go. Even on MVCFans.
