If you'd use your head, instead of your heart, you'd know that the easiest path to the MVC Tourney title is AVOIDING ISU. If you ask Marshall to draw up the perfect bracket you'd be going through everyone else. But even he would acknowledge ISU is the team he'd want to steer clear of. Not because we're better than you, but because we're the biggest threat. The problem for you is if you run into us in the semi's and lose again... at that point are we talking NIT?

You are the delusional one. You're on your high horse now that you've beaten WSU in the regular season for the first time in 6 years, by a whopping score of 58-53. Biggest threat? lol, please. Evansville is WSU's biggest threat, followed by UNI, and then probably Indiana State. Illinois State is just what they are, a mediocre team who caught WSU in a game they couldn't throw a ball in the ocean.

And then you follow up with an even bigger delusional point of WSU in the NIT. LOL. I mean yes, it was a very bad-looking loss losing to an Illinois State on the resume. But in no shape or form is WSU sniffing the NIT. LOL.

By the way, welcome back to the website. It's been a while, bandie.

Umm...the last 2 WSU conference losses have been to the Redbirds so there's that.

Context changes a lot. ISU is 2-0 in the last 2 vs WSU. 2-2 in the last 2 years vs WSU. 2-4 in the last 3 years. 2-7 in the last 4 years. So ISU is currently 2-7 vs this group of seniors on WSU. Congrats on not getting shut out though!!

Championz - Illinois State shot 27% from the field!! WE COULD NOT THROW IT IN THE OCEAN EITHER. It was the 2nd lowest field goal percentage for a winning team in College Basketball all year....2nd!! You can't talk about WSU not throwing it in the ocean when the team who beat you shot that poorly...2-23 to start the game. What would the final score have been if we were 8-23 or 10-23?? ISUr then wins by 15-20 points

Here are your scores with the teams you ranked as bigger threats to you:
Evansville:
67-64 WSU win
78-65 WSU win @ Evansville
(avg 8 point scoring margin)

UNI:
74-55 WSU win @ UNI (are you kidding me? this is 2nd and you beat them by 20 at their place?)

Indy St:
82-62 WSU win (again really?)

Illinois St:
65-62 ISUr win (last year with Reggie Lynch and Daishon Knight albeit)
58-53 ISUr win (and we shot 27% from the field!! Are you kidding me??)

Again, I know you HATE HATE HATE ISUr, but this is a discussion board for "intelligent" discussion. I try to have this with you and you don't acknowledge the fact that our athleticism and length cause WSU the most problems than any other team in the Valley. The last two games we played you show this. The proof is in the pudding above.

Yes, ISUr fans are coming out of the woodwork and other WSU fans are hiding out since the game on Saturday from this website (minus you and Stickboy), but you have to conciously recognize who your biggest challenge is to your team specifically. We may not be the 2nd or even 3rd best team in the Valley this year overall, but there are always teams that others don't want to face, regardless of record. ISUr is that team for WSU.

Again. His contention is NIU, Evansville, and Indiana State arew the biggest threats. The Redbirds have handed the Shockers their only 2 conference losses in the last 2 years. I am simply pointing out his hatred of all things Redbirds clouds his judgement. That's all.

Agreed BirdFan50...except they did lose to UNI last year 70-54 at UNI.

Since 2013 WSU has gone 50-3 in regular season and MVC Tourney games....that is dominant. However, 2 of the 3 losses have come to ISUr and in their last two meetings. To even consider saying we are 4th or 5th in the pecking order of teams you don't want to face is complete insanity at this point.

Championz delusion for all things Redbirds clouds his judgment in this fact. That is if he has any judgment or even an IQ over 15. And Stickboy, you can't defend this statistic, because you have probably a 9-0 record or something similar against nearly every other team in this league over the last last 3 years!! So 2-7 looks peachy in comparison, especially 2-0 in the last two (what have you done for me lately? frame of mind).

ISUr matches up well with WSU. Some teams just don't match well with others regardless of conference position.
Example: This year ISUr does not match up well with Evansville. We have nobody to guard Mock this year (thanks Reggie Lynch) & if we double down on him Evansville has the shooters to hurt us. If we zone it up once again the have the shooters to hurt us.

Some teams just have another teams number
Example: ISUr struggles against ISUb the last few years. That doesn't mean ISUb has had more overall success.

Ah the old "I know you are but what am I defense." Just stop. You're borderline pathetic at this point.

What? Did you read what you just wrote? So the team that just beat you... the only Valley team to do so this year... and the team that knocked you out of the tourney last year isn't your biggest threat this year??? Are you kidding me??? Wichita fans are usually pretty competent but you're dragging this fan base down with your stupidity man. Cut the act. Everyone at this point is tired of it, including those from your own school. Wichita has problems with big, athletic teams. Evansville isn't that. Northern Iowa isn't that. We are. You seem to handle less athletic, better shooting teams with ease, but put some size and skill in front of you and lookout.

And then you follow up with an even bigger delusional point of WSU in the NIT. LOL. I mean yes, it was a very bad-looking loss losing to an Illinois State on the resume. But in no shape or form is WSU sniffing the NIT. LOL.

As stated previously that statement was made just to ruffle your feathers. Consider them genuinely ruffled I guess.

By the way, welcome back to the website. It's been a while, bandie.

Kid, you have no idea who you're talking to. I've been on this website for a while now, and read probably every other day. Mostly I encounter intelligent conversations from fans of other schools and I enjoy getting my Valley news and snippets from here. Most conversations I don't engage in because I simply don't have the time. But you are the definition of what I believe these moderators should better attempt to control. You constantly turn conversations from pleasant banter to ridiculousness with your immaturity.

Should I have posted regarding this win, gloating? Probably not. We probably lose by 20 on your senior night. But you made it way too easy, and fun, to take a poke at. And by the way... If anyone can wreck a senior night for your beloved All Americans... They'll be flying out of Normal, Illinois............

The thing is .. WSU has the shooters too, they have multiple deep threats ... it just happens that they all were off on Saturday. That's why we couldn't bust the zone. Going 1-14 from 3 in a half will do that.

Thanks for calling him out guys. Finally, some back up from others....CDizzle, WuFan, Stickboy and other WSU fans just defend him or go around his idiocy...they must be used to it on Shockernet. I believe he doubles as ShockerFever over there? Either that or he has somebody with the exact same posting habits....which is scary.

At any rate, Championz typically disappears now for awhile since his crap has been disputed, but he will return when the heat is finally off him in a few days.

If you ignore the troll, they go away. Calling him out isn't going to change his mind. It just creates really long threads about something other than the original topic.

Why?
He ruins threads with his BS. If you ignore it, nothing changes. To affect change, you must take action. Anyone can ignore my back and forths with him. Nobody is required to read it or chime in...but ignoring his trolling and his s%&! does not help this website. We had a thread recently asking why the number of posters have gone down recently....when we allow posters like him, he causes it. Why would people want to post on a website with him involved spewing his nonsense? The moderator gets paid money for the leaderboard banners at the top of your screen...he should want more visits, more sessions, more users to get paid more. Championz is a deterent of that.
