Not all non-con games are equal, but here's how the MVC has fared in non-con games the past several years:
2017-18 48 - 22 0.6857
2016-17 59 - 53 0.5268
2015-16 58 - 58 0.5000
2014-15 63 - 48 0.5676
2013-14 64 - 49 0.5664
2012-13 75 - 45 0.6250
2011-12 71 - 44 0.6174
2010-11 68 - 48 0.5862
2009-10 79 - 35 0.6930
When Creighton left the league, they were buying a lot of games on their non-con schedule, so they loaded up on home games against mid-level competition. In Creighton's last year in the MVC, of their 12 non-con games 8 were home, 2 were neutral, and only 2 were on the road. That's the kind of scheduling power you have when you draw 15k+ every game. From 15-17 you had Drake and Bradley both going through coaching turnover and ensuing rebuilds. Now that the coaching issues have resolved and Loyola is the team the league thought it would become, the MVC is looking pretty good.
