Lansing is exceeding expectations.
Anyone who keeps a coach with the talent to be picked to win the conference, and has squarely put his team in a position to be in the Conference tournament play in games, does not care about their team.
For years, Lusk has shown no ability to get a team to run an offense. After losing to SIU, in post game interview, he said that the player has to get to the basket in that situation, rather than turning off drive and passing for a 3 ball. Well, if that is what you think, then why is it not also what your players think?
He just seems to have no idea how to get players to play the way his mind is thinking they should play, assuming his mind is thinking that way at all.
Lusk's only saving grace at this point is winning MVC tourney and getting to NCAA, and making at least a decent showing at NCAA.
