Current charges are failure to give information and render aid to an injured person.

There's more than that. He's had 11 charges against him since he came to campus Fall 2016. It's all public information.

His first arrest/charge was for misdemeanor theft of a cell phone (along with Derek Clayton, who left). That happened soon after he got to campus. The charges were dropped however for some reason (presumably the state couldn't prove it). The current charges are FAILURE TO GIVE INFORMATION / RENDER AID / INJURY and OPERATE UNINSURED MTR VEHICLE. The latter is a petty offense (fine only) but the former is punishable up to a year in jail. I understand people wanting to let the process play out. Here's the black and white of what he's charged with.

He had to continue without reporting the damage to his car from the careless woman or he would have been late to choir practice.
