I am starting to side with Wardle. All this talk about the Valley being down and all kinds of cry baby or nonsense news stories don't help. There is a heck of a lot of competition in our league.

Bradley just took one of the best Big 10 teams to the wire. The MVC commissioner should be screaming for more additions to the tournament. And not give up. No reason we shouldn't have 2 or 3?

The Braves fans, coaches and players did their job big time. Congrats.

We lost today's game in December, when we went in the tank and ruined our resume.

I'm convinced we beat a 4 or 5 seed, which is where we should've been without tanking in the non-con, and without the anchor of the non-con SoS around us.

Just a couple of blown pass catches away from a final possession game with a top 5 team. There are no moral victories but Bradley acquitted themselves and the Valley well.

It's still not a great day for the Valley the streak is over and Murray State has less than zero reason to join now but the future is bright. UNI Bradley Loyola Missouri State Drake Evansville SIU and Indiana State all have reasons for optimism and the NET seems fairer. Here's to starting a new streak next year. Go MVC! Just try not to step on the corpse of the Valpo basketball program on your way up the ladder. Hopefully we won't drag your metrics down too much.

Adunk33 wrote:Kudos to Bradley for giving Michigan State a hell of a game. Michigan State was clearly over a 15 seed again, even though they lost to one just a few years ago. Bradley almost made them pay.

The Michigan State guard was maddening to watch. He just kept playing one on one and hoping his bigs would clean up his mess.

I think Childs is going to be getting some P5 calls after his game today, having 2 years left will be VERY attractive for those schools. For the sake of the league, I hope he stays. For the sake of the Birds, I hope he goes.

Don't mean to kick valpo when they're down, but Bradley is not valpo. If Childs or anyone else is planning to transfer, that would be news to anyone who knows anything about BU hoops.

Kick away... We deserve it...We took this spot away from the program that really deserves it... I hope they still want to come because we could use them.

Just got home from Des Moines. Great game by Bradley as we gave them our A game for sure. Kudos to Michigan State as they won the game at the free throw line, finishing 25 of 26 from line. They made their first 20 in a row and that was difference down the stretch. Hopefully this makes Brown and Childs and others hungry for more next year.

Great game. We may have lost but we never institutionally covered up a serial pedophile.

You don't care nor should you, but as a long-time WSU fan I was rooting hard for Bradley today.

BU was always my second favorite MVC team, after WSU, of course.

I will never forget watching Hersey Hawkins scorching us for 28 points in the first half during a game at-then Henry Levitt Arena during my senior year, when BU was ranked in the top 20. Somehow we won that game.

I will always cheer hard for the MVC.

So glad this was a regional game. Watching Bradley exchange blow for blow with a national title contender for 35 minutes was worth a lifetime memory. If Sparty wasn’t unreal from the FT line, this would’ve come down to the final minute.

The stadium was mostly Iowa State and Minnesota fans - who rooted hard for the Braves. Thanks Cyclone and Gopher Nations! Bradley filled both its lower and upper sections in red with assorted fans elsewhere through the arena. Conversely, neither Louisville nor Michigan State filled their sections with their fans. MSU’s lower section wasn’t even 2/3 full and there was no green in their upper section.

Wells Fargo had really small concourses. Bathroom lines were enormous. Sat in “The Loft” (baseline) and sightlines were fine. The website did advertise a buffet, high tables, etc. but none were true. Just 4 rows - 3 makeshift. Forced exclusive focus on basketball!

Des Moines ran the operation exceptionally well. Skywalk was brilliant - shades of Minneapolis. There was a Fan Zone connected to the arena.

Thanks to whoever recommended Jethro’s BBQ. Rock throw from Knapp.
