Speculating but wonder if Freeman evaluated the players heading out and pulled a U-turn. Of the ones leaving, Freeman always played the right way making teammates better while Evelyn, Smits, etc came off “me-first” if not antagonistic.

If Wichita State had left the MVC this year I often wonder if Valpo would still be the MVC's choice? As an Indiana State fan I am thrilled to be playing in a conference with Evansville and Valpo (two Indiana schools) and I am sure that Valpo will eventually get things turned around, but man they have not had any luck since joining the MVC.
