Congrats on the comeback win. Ford made the adjustments to expose our weaknesses in the second half. We continue to struggle on defense, and if the shots aren't falling, it can quickly get ugly.
Is Dixon the headcase he appeared to be yesterday?
Actually that was a pretty restrained Dixon, but he had mucho company yesterday in Williams and Cunliff. Lets just say all three were very chirpy and West as well. I sit just 3 rows off court and get a pretty good view and ear shot of on the court activity between players. As the game advanced and we started to assert a more physical nature, the first half taunts got reversed. I imagine the return game in Evansville will be contentious in many ways.
Dixon is as he is; he can be frustrating to both teams. But I give the kid credit in that he plays hard, is an incredible rebounder for his size, and when he's not taking ill timed shots is pretty good. I've been his biggest critic early, but when he makes good court decisions with the ball and plays like yesterday , his edginess is an asset for us. The technical he got was pretty cheap , but his reputation and demonstrativeness gets him that call, and that's just the way it is for him. Don't fully trust him yet, but his line yesterday : 34 min, 9 pts, 4/8 fg, 4 assists, 0 turnovers, 5 rebounds , 2 blks, 1 stl. I'll take that most nights.
