It was Florida A&M’s 1st KenPom top-200 win of the decade...on the final day of the decade.

Looks like this is not quite true, they beat #92 NC Central in 2014. Still though... Incredible.

Congrats on the comeback win. Ford made the adjustments to expose our weaknesses in the second half. We continue to struggle on defense, and if the shots aren't falling, it can quickly get ugly.

Is Dixon the headcase he appeared to be yesterday?

2. Last year the Birds went off on UNI in Normal, as well. They made 12 or 13 3's IN THE SECOND HALF alone. UNI never plays well in Normal.

3. UNI needs to find an inside game.

4. ISUr needs to play Horne and Reeves A LOT more. I don't care if they are freshman they are some of your best players. Dan seems afraid of freshman.

UNI has an inside game with Dahl, not sure why he's not utilized more?

Actually that was a pretty restrained Dixon, but he had mucho company yesterday in Williams and Cunliff. Lets just say all three were very chirpy and West as well. I sit just 3 rows off court and get a pretty good view and ear shot of on the court activity between players. As the game advanced and we started to assert a more physical nature, the first half taunts got reversed. I imagine the return game in Evansville will be contentious in many ways.

Dixon is as he is; he can be frustrating to both teams. But I give the kid credit in that he plays hard, is an incredible rebounder for his size, and when he's not taking ill timed shots is pretty good. I've been his biggest critic early, but when he makes good court decisions with the ball and plays like yesterday , his edginess is an asset for us. The technical he got was pretty cheap , but his reputation and demonstrativeness gets him that call, and that's just the way it is for him. Don't fully trust him yet, but his line yesterday : 34 min, 9 pts, 4/8 fg, 4 assists, 0 turnovers, 5 rebounds , 2 blks, 1 stl. I'll take that most nights.

The best thing for MSU in this game besides a win was Mosley got his first start and played 36 minutes. Until 4 games ago he just wasn't being used by Ford at all despite everyone knowing he might be our most talented guy. But I guess like many freshmen, Ford expected better effort and defense in practice before he was going to play, but man he can make a difference. He averaged 18 minutes a game the three before this, and is just now starting to show his considerable offensive skills. I've said for a while he's the most efficient/smooth perimeter scorer I've seen in a while for MSU. At right at 6'6 he can pretty much do it all. Last 4 games:

1 start, 22min avg, 13ppg, 65% fg, 80% 3pt, 75% ft.

The Drake/Bradley game last night was one of the more entertaining games I've watched in some time. 15 lead changes, high energy throughout and a close game until the end. Classic Valley basketball. Drake looks solid and Robbins was dominant in the paint. He's going to give teams fits this year. Great win for Bradley without Elijah Childs.

Very entertaining game between two teams that weren't at full strength. As mentioned above, Bradley's Childs was injured and Bulldogs were missing 4 players due to injury (T Murphy, Yesufu, Ferguson, Ernst). I thought the Bulldogs would have a lot more depth than last season, but with 2 guys redshirting and multiple injuries, they're down to 7 scholarship players again.

I mentioned this on the Bradley board, but Roman Penn drives me crazy. He tries to "draw" a foul and does the head flop, I just got shot by a sniper move about 20 times a game. :) . He needs to get some flopping T's this year. That said, he really does a great job running that team. I'm also amazed by Liam Robbins.

Apparently it wasn't too effective. Did he ever shoot a free throw? The whole team only shot a few. Bradley won at the line.

You aren't going to shoot many FT's when you shoot more than 50% of your shots from three point land. Drake took 57 shots, 31 of which were threes(54.3%). Bradley shot 62 shots, 21 of which were threes (33.9%). Liam Robbins took 10 two point shots. The rest of the Drake team took a combined 16. Teams that get the ball inside more almost always shoot more FT's. That's not a super new concept :)
