No kidding. South Dakota State is pretty good most years and they beat Utah State by 24 the day before USU beat UNI.

Okay so it was just something called "Judson," an NAIA team. But I have so often seen Bradley beat teams like this by 10 or 15 or 20 or maybe 30 points (if not LOSE) that this was really refreshing. Bradley throttled Judson 105-32 and, MUCH more importantly, never took its collective foot off their neck. This was a Phi Slamma Jamma highlight reel that was so fun to watch. Please don't reply it is just Judson -- we know. The point is that BU did to Judson exactly what a team like BU should have done to Judson. So that's in the books. Unfortunately the St. Joe's game won't happen because of Covid on their end. Next up S. Dakota State, picked at or near the top of their conference.

Just saw that BU margin was the biggest regular-season win in BU history. Add it Wardle's CV.

This from BU frosh Darrius Hannah might get BU on ESPN's top 10 plays a third time in 4 games:

Getting Berhow back and, most likely, Mar's waiver approved is going to make a world of difference in defense and rebounding.

Phyfe saw 2 NBA bigs and a kid that had played club ball in Australia in that tournament and held his own defensively. He'll be just fine as well.

Definitely no panic button in Cedar Falls.

Exactly, they played three quality teams. They're going to be good this year and a tough team to face in the valley but so far it's looking like last years team was stronger. I can't see Berhow fixing the defensive issues, the shooting was already there without him. He definitely can't hurt the team though, especially depth wise in a 3 game tourney. It seems unlikely that the UNI defense could get any worse throughout the season, so I'm still considering them a top contender.

What's lost on most posters is they dont realize these 3 losses are actually very good teams. They didnt lose to Duke so they think they should be able to beat anyone that's not P5.

This isn't an ACC message board. I'm pretty sure most of the posters on here understand how good mid-majors can be.

Exactly. And for me personally that understanding of how good mid majors can be is precisely why I was so disappointed with UNI's performance. I really believed that they were better than this despite how good WKU SMC and Utah State are and will be.

Yeah I feel like it's more a lot of folks disappointed because they knew how good this weekend could be for UNI/the Valley. I think the Valley's preseason favorite should be able to compete with high ranking mid majors across the country.

I'm in agreement with the majority. We all know they lost to decent teams but had the chance of going 3-0.

I mentioned earlier in this thread, watching UNI's tournament reminded me a lot of the Redbirds last season in the Virgin Islands. They opened and almost beat a tough Cincy team, showed well against Western Kentucky but ultimately their talent outshined the Birds, then didn't show up for the game against GCU. Granted, those teams may not be the level of the three UNI played but it felt really similar. A 3-game skid can really impact a team's confidence. Hopefully, UNI will get a chance to bounce back soon.

Watching those games, this Born kid is going to be special. In a perfect world, I assume UNI fans want him starting at the 1 allowing Green to play off the ball?
