That's better than I was expecting. I was real worried that he popped an Achilles the way he came out of that game. Non-contact injuries are the worst.

Hope for a speedy recovery for the young man!

Horrible news to hear about Hemphill; still excited to see the Loyola matchup, but that will certainly hinder at-large chances. Hope he heals up.

The only at large worthy team in the league is Loyola.

Bulldogs have not been the same team post-COVID, not even close. Now, take away Hemphill and it's a whole different team. It sucks, but it is what it is.

I think even pre-tank injury one of the biggest things for drake was extended scouting. Drake is an OUTSTANDING transition team, but their halfcourt offense is probably just OK at this point. The ball sticks when you force them late into the shot clock, and while they have some really good ISO players they often get forced into tough shots.

I think teams now know you have to get back on defense, and not fall into a boat race (where they’ll almost always have the advantage with the way they run).

That all said, the tank injury absolutely sucks. He saves possessions with his rebounding and plays tough defense.

That was a nice win by Drake, pretty trashy celebration at end though. That call on Krut was also horrible, Norris should have had that three.

Does this win resuscitate the Valley's multibid hopes? I think it does but both schools have to win out from here forward and this has to be the final of the MVC tournament in all likelihood.

That win most likely will knock Loyola out of the top 25, I think it brings back hope for a multi bid valley but I ‘m not confident that will happen.

Good game from Loyola. Pretty trashy jawing at Drake’s players and coaching staff after a loss though. Still some iffy calls against Drake today but at least they didn’t foul out Brodie by halftime.

It's tough to say who started the s*** talking without being on the court, but it should make arch madness more entertaining.
