Has a MAC team beaten a Valley team this season?
Hoping for the best is all we have left in Evansville. Ball State has this guy, Payton Sparks. Mr. Sparks is 6'10", 265 pounds. He averages 8.2 points, 4.5 RBs. He doesn't shoot 3s so he will be in the lane the entire game. Evansville has no one to match up against this small car. Our "big guy" is very soft. He hangs out around the perimeter hoping to take a fade away 3 from 25'. Even if he played underneath against Ball State, he would not be a factor against this guy.
Evansville usually handles Ball State easily, but this game today, will probably go to the Cardinals, leaving Evansville with a dismal 3-9 record heading into the remaining 19 games of the MVC. In the back of our minds, we think of the 0-18 MVC in 2019-20 and the 1-19 MVC in 2022-23.
But of course, in Evansville, we are still hoping for the best, Season 26, Episode 12.
