I don't begrudge the Sycamores they got hot when they needed too either due to superior coaching or pure luck or in all likelihood a combination. My main issue as I am still dealing with the snub, is the fact that if the Valley had a fairer conference structure like the West Coast Conference, we'd be in their shoes probably because our starters could rest more. Or if it was like many mid-major conferences, the league champ would host and we would be in in that scenario as well. That is my beef.

I hope ISU Blue pulls the upset, I really do but I see it being a tough matchup that will likely go the way of the Orangemen. It's just hard because I think this MSU team was built for the Sweet Sixteen and I think if things would have worked out a little different, we'd be the ones with an opportunity to be the next George Mason. That's all.

I appreciate your response here, man. I definitely agree that MSU would have had a chance to do well in the tournament, if only for the experience factor...lots of upper classmen, etc. I wish you guys would have pulled out one or two more non-con games...all this would be a moot point if that were a case, cause we'd both be in.

I can't disagree with you in terms of our game. I hope, I believe, and I'll be rooting...but I also know it's gonna be the toughest game ISU has played all year.

Actually this may be our third toughest game considering we played Purdue and Notre Dame.

It leaves a sour taste in ones mouth. I mean I doubt the Soviet hockey team was rooting too hard for Team USA against Sweden in the 1980 Olympics after their semifinal defeat.

I'm not even going to comment from an ISUb standpoint, because that will just get the thread locked. But to say you were THE dominant force in the league is just laughable. You won the league on the last game of the regular season. You did not win going away. You barely came away with a win on Friday in the Tournament. Your average margin of victory in conference was less than 8.5.

In short, you were a team that knew how to win, had senior leadership, and just couldn't come away with the big prize at the end. That sucks for the school, players, and fans. BUT...you were not dominant. Besides, with all the weak MVC talk, a dominant team would have gone 18-0 in the conference.

You make some fair points. Winning the league weith a .833 winning percentage is where I get dominant from. The Bears were not snubbed. The Bears failed to win their tournament. The Bears failed to make a statement during OOC play. This is almost as bad as Gary Williams' whining about Maryland not getting into the NCAA or NIT. Let it go. Let it go. Root for the ISU_Blue. In fact, go online and buy a Sycamore sweatshirt and wear it during their game.
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

I'll be cheering my butt off for the Sycs!

That said, it just scares me. I'm not saying they can't do it, but MSU didn't score against ISU for ELEVEN minutes and still only lost by 5.

Its not how you win its just that you find a way to win. Sometimes ugly, sometimes lucky, sometimes just a tad bid smarter than the other guy. The final score is all that counts and you whiners lost; never saw such a bunch of sour grapes crybabys in my life. It all started with us knocking you down in football and it never got any better for you in basketball. We broke your early season win streak and broke your NCAA heart and I have enjoyed every "replay minute" of it. Your fanbase has surpassed WSU as the most hated in the Valley................ :Violin: ...................at least they quit whining after you beat them.

Crybabies? You aren't making very many friends this year.

No, we just think you ARE NOT A VERY GOOD BASKETBALL TEAM. Sorry for having a basketball opinion. Just like Colorado vs K-State, we just don't match up well against you guys.
