I don't begrudge the Sycamores they got hot when they needed too either due to superior coaching or pure luck or in all likelihood a combination. My main issue as I am still dealing with the snub, is the fact that if the Valley had a fairer conference structure like the West Coast Conference, we'd be in their shoes probably because our starters could rest more. Or if it was like many mid-major conferences, the league champ would host and we would be in in that scenario as well. That is my beef.
I hope ISU Blue pulls the upset, I really do but I see it being a tough matchup that will likely go the way of the Orangemen. It's just hard because I think this MSU team was built for the Sweet Sixteen and I think if things would have worked out a little different, we'd be the ones with an opportunity to be the next George Mason. That's all.
I appreciate your response here, man. I definitely agree that MSU would have had a chance to do well in the tournament, if only for the experience factor...lots of upper classmen, etc. I wish you guys would have pulled out one or two more non-con games...all this would be a moot point if that were a case, cause we'd both be in.
I can't disagree with you in terms of our game. I hope, I believe, and I'll be rooting...but I also know it's gonna be the toughest game ISU has played all year.
