To say that more teams competed for the title back in the early to middle part of the last decade is kind of a slap to the face of the teams now. 1st to 5th place this year was separated by 5 games. Only one year, 05-06, was better than that and that year, the perfect storm, 1st-6th was separated by 3 games. The rest of the years were equal or worse. We have no clue who will compete for the title each year. It could be the same teams again like it was with CU and SIU or it could be someone new each year. That hardly makes it worth less or easier to win

The NCAA infractions are minor, he made a heartfelt apology, I put the odds very, very low that he would do that again. And it wasn't the actual minor violation that got him in trouble, it was the cover up. Wherever he resurfaces, he will be successful and get plenty of media attention. Why not us?
Jeff Capel is on my NO list. He'll fit in better on the East Coast. Too liberal to succeed in the Bible Belt in my opinion, I think that doomed him in Oklahoma.

The violations aren't going to be minor on Pearl from what I have read. Tennessee may get something minor but Pearl might want to watch out.
If we are going to go with a reject, my vote is for John Pelphrey or Pat Knight

I'll throw out a couple of MIAA names: Jeff Guiot and Kim Anderson. I think both could be successful if we don't go for the home run with Pearl. I don't particularly want Harris, Woodberry, or Williams.
