I don't think that is entirely correct. Two points:

(1) I heard today that Stanford was starting up their own network; and
(2) The Pac12 is going to have regional networks. The Longhorn Network could easily be the "regional network" for Texas and whomever would come with them.

By the way, the article that you linked doesn't indicate at all that OU is looking to join the Pac12. It just indicates that Stoops likes the idea.

There are three rules that I live by, never get less than 12 hours sleep, never gamble with a guy who has the same first name as a city and never get involved with a chick with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Stick to that and everything else is gravy!

If Stoops likes the idea, OU likes the idea. All the requirements to make the deal work are laid out in the interview. that shows some thought has been given to it.

There's nothig "officil" in the article that says OU is courting the Pac10 (or12), but that's a pretty heavy leak for things that are usually kept completely under wraps until there's virtually a done deal on the table.

Yep, Missouri State was mentioned on the Texas Longhorn Rival's site as a new member of the Big XII!!! Book it!!!

Keep in mind, the poster that picked Missouri State, HHS Tigerfan, is a troll. He was a;lso probably joking and trying to get a rise out of Longhorn fans, but don't let that stop anyone from believing this. Afterall, this was posted on Chip Brown's site, so it must be true.

MU leaving wouldn't surprise anyone. Everybody knows they want out. It'll be interesting to see what the Big 12 does to add teams.

That conference would be garbage. Is there any truth to the rumor that Missouri will be heading to the SEC?

Is that why K-state released their new mascot - eco-kat.

Big 12 wants BYU. Maybe for football only. They should join the MVC for hoops and other sports.

They probably had that option when they decided to go with the WCC. I don't see them changing to the MVC at this point.

Big 12 might be able to save themselves if they can get BYU to join along with either TCU or Louisville.
