Praised? For what?

Winning on the road against a decent CAA team. Who has a better win thus far? Missouri State and Evansville are the only others at this point.

It's early. They beat what many believe is a down ODU team that'll struggle a bit this year (still a good win) and got embarrassed on national TV by SMC (a very good team). Not sure what's to praise.

I didn't watch the SMC game but did watch the ODU game. From the ODU game, it looked pretty clear that UNI is mainly a perimeter team that likes to dribble penetrate and dish out for an open 3. Against ODU, they were hot from 3 all night. I only recall maybe a couple inside the paint buckets in the second half by UNI. Sounds like against SMC, the 3's just weren't falling.

UNI is 1-1 in two tough road games against Old Dominion and St. Mary's. All things considered, I'm not sure how many other MVC teams would have fared better. Last night may not have been pretty, but I think UNI should be praised rather than criticized at this point.

Nothing wrong with being 1 and 1 on the road against good competition. Probably the expected outcome. You have a young team that will improve as will many other young teams. Tough schedule along with many other teams that played very late or very early on the road today. What was wrong was not the outcome. It was the total egg your team laid. Many more will do the same over the course of the season, but this was the first nationally televised Valley game of the year. I watched a lot of basketball in the last 24 hours and UNI was by far the worst team I saw. K-State was also really bad.
