I do have a problem with Marshall's comments. He's suggesting some type of conspiracy against WSU. How ridiculous is that? Good coach, good recruiter, but yes he does have issues.
+1 on both accounts.
I never get upset about what people say on their own boards. You are generally getting a lot of homer talk and excuse mongering, etc. Accept them for what they are, read them for your personal amusement and move on. What is really funny is that after the game, Shocker fans were on Twitter cussing out Creighton (pssst...you lost to IlSU, not CU. We had nothing to do with you blowing a double digit lead).
Marshall's comments were way, way out of line. Not only did he not complement IlSU for their unwillingness to give up or for Jankovich putting together a great game plan, but he went all conspiracy theory. Unfortunately, it isn't the first time he's done this after losing in the tourney.
Pushing his way into the post game interview, overturning placards with the names of IlSU's player and coaches exhibits a complete lack of class.
The idea of WSU leaving the conference because it lost a game is just silly. WSU just won the regular season by a two game margin and still has a game or games left to play. On the other hand, Marshall picking up his ball and leaving the conference because he can't handle losing may actually happen and we may have seen him in his last game against a Valley foe.
