Sure hope we play a couple of MVC teams every year. Gonna miss this league. CU will be taking their lumps for sure the next couple of years but hopefully they can beef up their recruiting to make a sweet sixteen run one of these years.

Ugly game. Creighton did a pretty good job on defense, but couldn't get any rhythm going offensively. I don't think Wragge even took a shot. Correction, he made a layup but that was all. Chatman took 11 shots for Creighton which is probably twice as many as CU would have liked.

Too bad, Duke was very beatable tonight. Good luck in your new conference CU although expect to take a few lumps the first few years and most likely end up hiring a new coach.

Without a quality perimeter scorer Creighton was doomed unfortunately. If they can land a Juco guard stud and wing, and Doug stays they may have another shot again next year. That's a lof of ifs...

Good season CU. I wish you guys pulled it off. I think this game is/was very winnable for you guys. Duke did a good job taking the guards out of rythm and were thus unable to make the offense flow. We saw a similar result with the Jays' loss to St Mary's in the Bracket Busters. Lots perimeter defensive pressure, and they always jumped out into the passing lanes because they know CU doesn't like to back cut. Coach K was guaranteed to have the Jays scouted well, and that's a testament to his coaching ability as a hall of famer.

Glad the Jays fought hard, and McDermott, Doug, fought his ass off the whole game to make it happen. I wish McDermott, Greg, got the ball to Greg Echenique more often, and found some good looks for Wragge from three.

Good effort CU, thought you had a chance by staying with them to halftime.

Evidently the MVC is only allocated a certain amount of 3pts makes per round and Elgin gave most of them to WSU this round.

Creighton will continue to be weak in post-season play until they decide not to be. Good luck and good riddance. Have fun finishing 1st or 2nd in conference play and then taking a dump in the tourney as your history has shown.
