I believe the plan originally was a redshirt year but I guess the coaches changed their minds. Would love to see him be freshman of the year.

Don't think he'll get those kind of minutes or put up those kind of numbers, but he will definitely play an important role moving forward for the Bears. Right now with Ruder out, he becomes one of few genuine outside threats for the Bears and his size [6'4] and versatility will get him minutes at both the 2/3 spots the rest of the year. He caught my eye this summer in that he just plays hard and understands the game; he's the kind of player coaches just naturally like and he makes those around him better because of his BBIQ.

I am hearing that SIU's juco point guard is pretty talented.

Obi is really looking strong for the Bears. If Lusk continues letting them run, Church will have a very impressive highlight reel by seasons end.

He probably leads the MVC in alley hoop dunks. At least I've never seen so many by a player in a Bears uniform. I still can't believe this kid wasn't snapped up by a high major but I'm thankful we have him.

I'm excited to see him play! 6-9 run and jump athletes are always a joy. I really wish the Bradly kid would have returned this year. Oh, and Shamet and McDuffie are going to be treats as well!

Bradley - DLO*, Barker*, Suggs, van Bree
MSU - Church*, Dixon
ISUr - Griffin
WSU - McDuffie*, Hamilton, Taylor
SIU - Fletcher

The 4 with * are looking like All-MVC freshman.

About a quarter of the way through the season and not much has changed. DLO is getting good minutes and stats, but his percentages are bad. Barker and McDuffie look good. Church and Griffin have fallen off a bit, but still the next best. Dixon has fallen off as well.

Hamilton and Taylor had zero minutes in the last two games. The Brave's Pittman has also been sitting (injury?). Bradley's Suggs and Van Bree catching Griffin.

Church or McDuffie

Griffin has been in a boot for too long.
