Is it possible that Muller is taking some unnecessary heat here? Sure they haven't looked good in their biggest games this year which means they haven't done much to help their at large resume but have they really done anything to hurt it? They still have plenty of opportunities for good wins and if they can go into conference play with just 2-3 losses you have to think that they could at least play themselves into the conversation with a strong MVC season. I don't think all is lost for the Redbirds yet.

Absolutely but if you take a look at the post history of the guy leading the charge he basically just bashes ISU and Muller every chance he gets so I’d take his posts with a grain of salt

:+1: There is a small handful of critics in Redbird land and this clown is the ringmaster. Rollbirds is 100% right!! The majority of our fan base is behind Muller, but the problem is that the biggest critics are the most outspoken ones who post constantly. I am really stating to think that the main critic isn't actually an ISU guy, but a troll from somewhere else.

Someone on our board asked us to evaluate Dan's performance. Feel free to make your own evaluation. I was more than fair scoring him above average to great in several categories.

Overall recruitment of players - Great (9)

Retention of said players (transfer out) - Average which is normal for mid-majors (5)

Transferring in of new players - Above average (7)

Improvement of all players - Above average overall. Just not this season (7)

Academic progress/showing of players (grade point average/progress toward degree) - Slightly above average (6)

"Civic" progress/showing (involvement/legal status) - Very poor (2)

Overall recruitment of coaches (assistants) (retention/replacement of said coaches) - Great to begin with. Poor of late. So, average overall. (5)

Non-conference scheduling - Great for mid-majors (9)

Overall win/loss - Above average (7)

Postseason appearances/results - I do not accept mediocrity. Slightly below average (4)

Attendance - God awful but not just his issue (2)

63 points. Divided by 11 scored categories is 5.72. Slightly above average. He has some great points about him but overall I'd say 5.72 is not good enough to continue as coach after 7 seasons. BUT, he will because our athletic director is even worse. Probably the worst in the Valley.

Note: I never score anything a 10 or 1 because it can always get better or worse.

Believe it our not there are people on our board who think less of him than I but they are just less vocal than I am. There or more jock riders though. If everyone truly evaluated him I think the average would be about 6. As is, I don't think it would be over 6.75 even with all the jock riders who blindly worship him as the second coming. Probably 6.5. To me even at 6.5 is not acceptable going forward after 7 seasons with only one really good season and a horrible program culture while appearing to be going in the wrong direction on the court.

With that being said they will probably lose 4 games the rest of the way, including the conference championship and finish 28-6 and get an at-large bid LOL. But, if proving me wrong is what it takes I'll be oh so wrong with happiness.
