He was 2-2 from the line in the game.

Bradley shot a lot more free throws because they took the ball to the basket more often than Drake did: Drake shot 31 shots from 3, 26 shots from 2.
Bradley shot 21 shots from 3, 41 shots from 2.

Looking closer at the box score Jonah Jackson took all 12 of his shots from 3 point land. Also, Robins was 10 for 10 inside the arc. Drake needed to feed him the ball more, and a key in the game was when he got into foul trouble.

Going forward I would expect most teams to take the ball at Robbins.

No surprise there....Jackson has only taken two shots inside the arc all season (he missed them both)

Sounds like Spencer Haldeman is going to miss significant time with a severe ankle sprain that happened during the second half on Tuesday.

Look for expanded roles for Antwan Kimmons and Noah Carter. Jake said he hadn't decided if he was going to go with Kimmons or Tywhon Pickford in Haldeman's place as a starter.

I was at the game and when it happened it just looked like a standard roll up. I watched it back the next day and it made me cringe. He landed on top of Reeve's (I think) foot and it seemed damn near close to a 90 degree angle. Hopefully it is just a severe sprain and not something more series because it looked really bad. Hoping for a speedy recovery!

Missed the first part of the schedule, so here are the picks for Saturday's slate. I am actually picking opposite of what my natural instincts tell me to pick, so we will try that for a bit.

REDBIRDS @ SALUKIS - SIU
SYCAMORES @ BULLDOGS - Drake
CRUSADERS @ ACES - Evansville
BEARS @ RAMBLERS - MO State
BRAVES @ PANTHERS - Bradley

Bradley beat writer just tweeted Elijah Childs has been cleared to play tonight at UNI. He will go through warmups and make a decision at that point whether he plays.

Loyola through 2 conference games.
22 fouls agains them, and 45 fouls agains their opponents.
56 free throws for them and 12 free throws for their opponents.

Won 2 close games. Go Loyola, so much talent you just can't stop them without fouling.

When you have the best big man in the league plus a lot of guys who attack the hoop rather than shoot 3's (because they aren't very good at 3's), you tend to be fouled a lot. Add the fact that Loyola had leads in both games down the stretch so there were quite a few intentional fouls.

I haven't seen a lot of Valpo or MSU fans complaining about egregious officiating. Some questionable calls? Sure, but those are always present and go both ways.
