Actually we hated you when you lost and lost alot as well. You're the same classless punk program you've always been. Your fanbase thinks youre the Raider Nation but honestly it just comes across as small man mentality and is really pretty pathetic.

I have no idea what happened after the ISU game but if I had to place money on the team that was running thier mouths the most, I'd put all I had on the Shockers.

Classy Kip...simply classy.
I used to respect the fan base at ISU-red until the past few seasons...not to say that the majority of the fans lack class, but the ones that lack class have seemed to really stick out the past few seasons.

Nothing funnier than fans assaulting defenseless players with flying pieces of metal! :(

Poor choices came from coaches and players on both sides, I'm disappointed if the WSU coaches were running their mouths towards the other coaches or fans but sometimes emotions are hard to corral. I don't mind the players running off the court yelling, raising their arms and celebrating, i've seen it in Koch arena when the visiting team comes in and wins. Speaking of emotions, they were obviously running high at the end, ISUR because they didn't finish out the game, WSU because they made the comeback and pulled out the W in a hostile environment.

It's in the past now, hopefully ALL the coaches and players look back and regret their actions. Personally I hope these teams meet in the MVC tourney at some point, no matter who wins, it should be a damn physical and fun game to watch in St.Louis.

Ron Baker got hit in the head with something thrown from the stands - during the game. An IlSU security guard reports that an IlSU coach "confronted" WSU's team and staff outside the WSU locker room. That same security guard reports that Muller showed up and tried to defuse the situation. That same security guard reports that even with his head coach trying to defuse the situation, that assistant coach had to be physically restrained by security. That same security guard reports that both staffs and teams were gathered outside the WSU locker room.

So, let me see if I've got this right. WSU was on their way to their locker room, when outside their locker room, they were confronted by an IlSU assistant. Then Muller showed up at the WSU locker room. Then the entire IlSU team and staff showed up at the WSU locker room. Security showed up and restrained the ILSU assistant, and security reported that if they hadn't shown up, blows would have been exchanged.

That report was from someone who posts on the Illinois State message board. That's not the spin from the WSU camp. That's the spin from the IlSU camp! If the IlSU assistant doesn't follow WSU to the WSU dressing room and doesn't "confront" the WSU staff outside the WSU dressing room, then there is no post-game altercation.

And the title of the thread is about WSU being classless?

Oh, Kip, I love your comments about how WSU fans think their team is the hot stuff and better than most of the rest of the Valley teams. When the discussion of the Red Out came up, IlSU fans said it wasn't because WSU is such a great game or anything, or that there was no effort to rouse the crowd or team for WSU, it was because of the national TV coverage.

Have you ever wondered why it was that particular game where IlSU got the national TV coverage?

Aargh, you were sooooo close to getting the post from our board correct. So, for that I say congrats. Here is he post, word for word, I will underline the section you left out. Why would you leave that part out,??

Had the security not responded as such, blows most definitely would have been exchanged. Most surprising was how both head coaches responded...Muller tried to help diffuse the situation...Marshall was adding fuel to the fire by screaming back obscenities, showing no professionalism nor respect for either program. I personally had to hold back an ISU assistant during the scuffle. Not sure if this makes any sort of news outlet...but expect to see sanctions be placed upon both programs by the MVC! It could have got real ugly, real fast and put the MVC in such a negative light. What ever respect I had towards WSU and Marshall is now lost. Also the former ISU coach, now WSU coach was part of the obscenity exchanging and interaction with the fans.

So you seemed to omit that part about Coach Ford being disrespected in the handshake line.

Also I talked to both security and people that work at the Arena, and this throwing of coins is unfounded.

Haven't seen you in a while? Thanks for your feelings that really have no bearing on the situation at hand. Speaking of that, Baseball Bear fans are classy! Classiest set of people I've ever encountered!

Well now that I know YOU have investigated it thoroughly I feel much better! Also so any perceived "disrespect" can and will erupt in "justified" physical violence by the ISU coaching staff? And it's the WSU coaches that are classless!

As for the coins being tossed.

I was at the game and I sat at the end of the arena where WSU made the exit into the tunnel after the game.
I did not see any coins or anything else being thrown at WSU staff or players. I did see Carl Hall doing his stunt but that didn't bother me in the least. I chalked it up to youthful exuberance and if I had been in a dogfight and won at age 20 or so I might have done the same thing. I didn't think it was a big deal then or now. I wasn't right at the tunnel but was close and I did get the feeling hateful things were being said between some of our fans and some of the WSU players. Who started it? I don't know but it was sad to see.

Back to the coins. As I stated I didn't see it. Could have someone tossed something that I didn't see? Sure that's possible but as the WSU team exited they didn't duck and cover their heads as if they were being pelted. This coin tossing thing is a myth that is being built into a legendary proportions by people who weren't there.

The long and short of it:

2. ISU coaches chase and confront WSU coaches at WSUs locker room and threaten to assault them. Causing security to have to restrain an ISU assistant. But this is justified because someone "disrespected" Ford!

3. ISU fans threw things at the WSU players including coins. otherwise known as assualt. This could not have happened because Cpacmel has interogated the staff at the arena and he assures us that it did not.

4. Jackie 'Chan" Carmichael kicks Tekel Cotton in the chest. This is OK because A. He always rebounds using the scissor kick method and B. it was just the chest not the head!!

Conclussion WSU is clasless!!

Hard to argue with that logic!
