An IlSU security guard reports that an IlSU coach "confronted" WSU's team and staff outside the WSU locker room. That same security guard reports that Muller showed up and tried to defuse the situation. That same security guard reports that even with his head coach trying to defuse the situation, that assistant coach had to be physically restrained by security. That same security guard reports that both staffs and teams were gathered outside the WSU locker room.
So, let me see if I've got this right. WSU was on their way to their locker room, when outside their locker room, they were confronted by an IlSU assistant. Then Muller showed up at the WSU locker room. Then the entire IlSU team and staff showed up at the WSU locker room. Security showed up and restrained the ILSU assistant, and security reported that if they hadn't shown up, blows would have been exchanged.
That report was from someone who posts on the Illinois State message board. That's not the spin from the WSU camp. That's the spin from the IlSU camp! If the IlSU assistant doesn't follow WSU to the WSU dressing room and doesn't "confront" the WSU staff outside the WSU dressing room, then there is no post-game altercation.
Aargh, you were sooooo close to getting the post from our board correct. So, for that I say congrats. Here is he post, word for word, I will underline the section you left out. Why would you leave that part out,??

Myself and some university police officers had to separate ISU coaches and players from WSU coaches and players!! Had the security not responded as such, blows most definitely would have been exchanged. Most surprising was how both head coaches responded...Muller tried to help diffuse the situation...Marshall was adding fuel to the fire by screaming back obscenities, showing no professionalism nor respect for either program. I personally had to hold back an ISU assistant during the scuffle. Not sure if this makes any sort of news outlet...but expect to see sanctions be placed upon both programs by the MVC! It could have got real ugly, real fast and put the MVC in such a negative light. What ever respect I had towards WSU and Marshall is now lost. Also the former ISU coach, now WSU coach was part of the obscenity exchanging and interaction with the fans.
http://www.redbirdfan.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4572So you seemed to omit that part about Coach Ford being disrespected in the handshake line.
Also I talked to both security and people that work at the Arena, and this throwing of coins is unfounded.
