Evansville:

Jaylon Brown 5'11" Guard Fishers, IN Rivals 3 star, good handle, good shooter, good defender, and tremendous finisher.

Duane 'Boo' Gibson 6'3" Guard VASJ Cleveland, OH, Cleveland Plain Dealer Player of the Year, First team pre-season all state in Ohio, fantastic handle and defender, always gets to the rim so his outside shooting is questionable.

Blake Simmons 6'5" Forward Castle, Newburg, IN, Member of the 12 man Indiana all star team, Marty's son is good at all aspects of the game...but not great at any of them (sans 3 pt shooting 41%), 'high IQ' player.

Christian Benzon 6'4" Guard Denmark via The Rock, FL, 'defensive minded, slasher-type guard who excels in the open floor,' has a mid-range shot, but not much of a 3 pts shooter.

Tyler Ptacek 6'2" Guard Padua Franciscan, Cleveland area, OH, CRAZY good shooter!

David Howard 6'8" Forward Montgomery Bell Academy, Nashville, TN, Redshirt Freshman, Good footwork in the post, offense is ahead of his defense.
The preceding lesson in basketball is free of charge.

PJStar clarifies that Xzavier had an offer from Kansas State and "late interest" from Oklahoma.

PEORIA — Xzavier Taylor’s signed National Letter of Intent has arrived and been approved at Bradley, likely completing a stellar spring recruiting class for the BU men’s basketball program.

The 6-foot-9 senior from Chicago Morgan Park High School is the fifth player to sign with the Braves this spring and will be one of seven newcomers to the team eligible to play next season.

The 225-pound Taylor chose Bradley over an offer from Kansas State and late interest by Oklahoma.

Beat writer Dave Reynolds is high on this BU recruiting class, calling it "stellar" and "rivaled" by only 2 other classes in his 23 years covering the Braves-- the 1992-93 class that won the 1995-96 Valley title, and the 2004-05 class that made the Sweet 16 (and probably would have gone back to the NCAAs if sophomore center Patrick O'Bryant didn't jump to the NBA lottery).

There is no guarantee this group will have the success of those previous classes. But, like the others before them, I’ve seen them all play before arriving at BU and will vouch for their abilities. They’re all solid players who will seriously upgrade the program’s talent level. Wins usually follow that formula.

My prediction? The good times will soon be rolling again on the Hilltop. With so many new bodies gelling with Walt Lemon, Tyshon Pickett, Jordan Prosser, Ka’Darryl Bell and Nate Wells, it may not occur immediately.

But I’m convinced it will happen sooner rather than later.

ISU landed McIntosh, nice score for them if he's eligible. Quite an overhaul in B/N, but give Muller credit for not wasting any time.

As well as Johnny Hill. Altogether there are 9 new faces for the Redbird squad. 4 Freshman, 2 with 3 yrs, and 3 with 2 years left. It may take a year but we won't be much worse then we were league wise last year. Definitely a different style of basketball player then the majority of our previous guys.

Will be a very interesting year for us, seeing how McIntosh, Lee, Lofton, and Hunter come together. Especially that non-conference game at VCU will show us how good we are
