MSU draws Miami,Fla in the opening round of the Charleston Classic; plays the winner/loser of Florida vs St. Josephs in second round. Great draw for the Bears . Other side of bracket has UCONN vs Buffalo, and Xavier vs Towson

The MVC was successful last time facing Miami in the first round of a tournament...

Gotta think this is a must win. Just don't see us winning at Xavier, LSU, or VCU.

9-4 is probably the absolute best we do. Obviously I hope I am wrong.

Sure is exciting to see an actual schedule put together though!

It'll be a tough game ; the reason I thought it was such a good draw was also the fact it could set up a game with Florida who is top 5-10 in most preseason predictions.

Honestly, I have no idea what to see when it comes to the Bears playing this schedule. There's just so much turnover of talent (even if I think it's mostly an improvement in talent) that while I expect the team to improve, I have zero conceptualization of how much on an improvement it will be or what the team is going to look like in terms of chemistry. I don't see a reason the Bears couldn't beat any team in the bracket except for Florida, but I have zero confidence that they actually will beat anybody. Same with the rest of the schedule. There's the scrubs and then there's good teams. How good the Bears are versus those good teams is really just a big fat question mark in my mind. They could be good enough to beat Xavier or VCU, but they also might get run outta the gym in Cinci and Richmond.

In a big blow to our non conference strength of schedule. Vanderbilt has reportedly paid Valpo $200K not to play their contractually obligated home and home with the Crusaders. We'll see if this money gets allocated to the program and not some other university cause but I'm not holding my breath with this administration... I just hope we don't replace the game with a worthless Non D1 or low major opponent but we probably will... I really hope we aren't going to be the kind of program that drags down the rest of the conference for years or even decades but we are certainly trending that way, and this Crusader fan apologizes on behalf of the rest of the fanbase in advance for that. I am sorry that we are the albatross around the neck of this conference.

Missouri State non-con schedule now fully set. While there are some weak links in the home schedule, I'm pleased that there are no D-2/NAIA games, and the road and tourney schedule is really top notch.

11/5 UALR @ MSU
11/10 Alabama St @ MSU
11/12 Cleveland St. @ MSU
11/15 MSU @ Xavier
11/21 Charleston Classic: MSU vs Miami of Fla.
11/22 Charleston Classic: MSU vs. Florida /St Josephs
11/24 Charleston Classic: MSU vs. UCONN/Buffalo/ Towson/Xavier
11/29 MSU @ LSU
12/3 Murray State @ MSU
12/6 MIss Valley St @ MSU
12/11 Arkansas St @ MSU
12 15 MSU @ VCU
12/21 MSU @ ORU

That's a schedule you can build an at-large case with if you win the right games. Good job by Ford and staff.

Did Vandy ever sign a home/home contract with Valpo?

Vandy Hoops has lost about as much prestige as the family that founded their school. :D

Who needs Vandy when the better Nashville program wants a H&H with Valpo?
