MVC NET rankings in the latest update. I get that NET uses a formula of sorts but on what planet can you justify a system that has the Salukis ranked ahead of the Bears?

Loyola 124
Drake 136
SIU 144
Mo State 147
Bradley 175
Valpo 177
UNI 179
Illinois State 188
Indiana State 202
Evansville 203

The system allegedly uses artificial intelligence so we may never know. What's unfortunate by comparison is Drake is 67 in RPI.

SIU is one game behind in overall record and had a tougher non-conference schedule, per Kenpom. It's just three spots, it's probably fractional. I don't know how NET weighs recent vs non-recent games, but I imagine it doesn't do so at all considering that the committee says they look at a whole body of work.

Thought for sure MSU would jump. Not that it means anything right now of course

Amazes me that 5 teams could finish anywhere from 1st to 10th.

I'm surprised SIU is still most likely 4th. Has to all be in the sweep over UNI and the tiebreakers.

MSU is definitely closer to the top than they were after the last update, but Sagarin has Loyola and Drake on average winning more games down the stretch.

SIU sits really well in the tiebreakers, and from the chart above, Sagarin ratings say they have the most future projected wins of the 7-7 teams.

Hacksaw using Sagarin probably hurts. They are still 20 spots below SIU in predictor.

Kenpom, where MoSt is now 150 (ahead of SIU) has projected win totals the rest of the season as:
MoSt - 2.53
Loyola - 2.5
Drake - 2.48

Drake, however, is ahead of MoState if you remove their head-to-head matchup on the last weekend. It's anyone's game. It's gonna be nuts.

the 4-7 bunch the rest of the way on kenpom:
SIU - 2.3
Bradley - 1.94
Northern Iowa - 1.86
Illinois State - 1.7
