How did you get the tweet to show up like this? Usually when I post it it's just a link.

Lots of twitter confirmation of the impending addition of UIC to the Valley. Good news.

Does this end expansion for the Valley? I think so, but I am not 100% sure.

It’s a screenshot I took of the tweet since the site doesn’t automatically convert the tweet.

I really hope it's 20 league games and not 22.

I understand that it's hard to get games but you lose so much date flexibility at 22.

If 22 is the case, wouldn't that pretty much force teams to only schedule D1 teams and then be selective in doing that?

I can see the complications from it, but I wish that the conference would switch to games on more nights. Instead of doing basically everyone playing Wednesday/Saturday (or Thursday Sunday for a couple of teams), but have games on more nights of the week. COVID has forced the MVC to have some different nights for games, and I actually like having MVC games almost every night of the week!

We don't have the luxury to be selective. It's so hard to get games and especially home games because the P5 have driven up prices dramatically.

It's not as hard to get games as coaches tell us it is.

Agreed on the buy games however. You better be willing to pay six figures to get a MEAC school to come to Cedar Falls.

Tough on travel, tough on teams to have three games in seven days.

Trust me, I do get it. I just think of the non P6 (in Hoops) teams out there, there should be like mindsets and objectives in helping one another build resumes, NET ratings, etc. I see no reason why there shouldn't be more MVC/MWC/A10/MAC/SoCon/WCC crossover games.
