Bradley sophomore forward Almar Atlason is entering the portal. He is expected to be the only one. This is also not an unexpected move. Almar had some really nice moments and then had games where he disappeared. He can shoot it for sure. I think he would be good at a lower level D1 - Patriot, Big South, etc. type league.

That would leave the following players returning for Bradley:
Ahmet Jonovic, 7-1, Jr., C
Demarion Burch, 6-4, So., G
Jaquon Johnson, 5-10, Fr., G
Corey Thomas, 6-10, Jr., C
Timoty Van der Knapp, 6-7, Fr., F

Bradley has work to do in the portal but those guys are a decent enough base to start with.

Is Somerville’s kid realistic or a fantasy?

Fantasy of epic proportions.

Iowa transfer Cooper Koch is a BIT more realistic option, but that too would be a big surprise.

The buzz in Iowa City is that Koch is staying.

Also, they aren't sure that Manyawu is coming.

I heard that as well on Koch. I would be shocked if he isn’t back there.

UIC C Sasa Ciani is in the portal.

He averaged 9.9 PPG and 7.6 RPG.

He was a stud to start the year and then missed a game due to illness, didn’t start for a few games after, and was just not the same the remainder of the season.

A transfer from Xavier will now be looking for his third school in three years.

UIC has just one confirmed returner - Ahmad Henderson.

We have three Frosh that didn’t play this year (two for injuries and redshirted). Waiting to hear on them.

Ciani, like Jackson, transferred in, got more playing time, and now are leaving.

UIC has its challenges and while no numbers are public I’m guessing NIL is another one.

Southern has four guys in the portal for now: Kennard Davis (big loss), Sheridan Sharp and Antwaun Massey (likely encouraged to go) and Tyler Bey (redshirt year didn’t go well).

That leaves several guys in flux, with Ali Dibba and Elijah Elliott (coming off his ACL tear) being the most prominent question marks. Sounds like Steffe and Mayo are coming back, and then there are a few others (Sykes, Aligbe, Moreno) that also could return, but I’m sure things are fluid for the next few weeks, depending on how fundraising and recruiting play out.

Edit: Aligbe announced tonight he’s returning for his sophomore year. I’d anticipate him being much more effective in Year 2. Good athlete with some skill … just rushed things too much as a true freshman.

The game is not dying. It is different, but not dying.

With the amount of money being wagered legally and illegally on the tournament, I don't expect viewership to diminish.

Ali Dibba hits the portal for SIU. Thought he'd be back. Now SIU is surely looking at a bottom 3 finish next year:
