The Horizon League would like to say otherwise (Butler, 5 consecutive bids and 10 since UE left the MCC/Horizon League) So would the WCC (Gonzaga, 13 consecutive). Both leagues have been pretty consistent at getting at least one team in as an at-large.

lol the exceptions that prove the rule but St. Mary's has been good and Butler has had it's fair share of rivals in the Horizon (Cleveland State, UWM, Wright State andGreen Bay have all been pretty difficult for the Dawgs over the past ten years) and do you really want your competition in the valley to be compared to the Horizon league? When a Valley team plays a Horizon team don't you expect a W?

I'm a UE fan. When we play Butler every year, I expect only a competitive game. Its been years since we played any other member of the Horizon. But yes, MSU should have beat Valpo.

Just me not feeling like spending my entire lunch break looking through old brackets. I could come up with other conferences with more consistency than the Valley in the NCAAs who have had a single dominant team for years.

EDIT: I forgot, UE played Ill.-Chicago in the BracketBuster last year ... and lost at home. And you bet I was disappointed.

lol look at the great conferences...it has never mattered truly whose name is on the front of the jersey but what their record is...don't kid me that because Wichita state is wichita State that adds 4-5 points to their final score...point is if you have 3 teams with really solid wins in the non con and are very competitive in conference we will be much better...

As somebody who grew up in Chicago, I will agree with you 100% there.

Also Tulsa and NW Arkansas are within two and a half hours from Springfield as well.

And Chicago ain't anything special, just a bunch of pretensious upper Midwesterners than wish they were NYC or LA.
